  1. Welcome to the forum. Tyres should have a pressure marked on them as a maximum and you could use this as a guide. The following has some values for pressures http://www.citroenhyonline.co.uk/hy-technical.php
  2. Welcome to the forum. What exactly is the problem ? If you use a code reader with live data you can see what temperature the sensor is giving to see if it seems about right without going to the bother of replacing it. The sensors are usually located near or on the thermostat housing.
  3. There was something like this recently on another car and I vaguely remember it needed a new air flow meter (MAF) but I could be wrong. You could try unplugging yours, it should put the car in limp mode and give a fault code but limp mode may perform better. http://www.citroen-owners-club.co.uk/citroen/topic/23371-05-20l-hdi-relay-no-power/
  4. There is some useful info here on wiring a towbar http://www.berlingoforum.co.uk/thread-2637.html
  5. Welcome to the forum and thanks for the info, in turn you may save others a few quid.
  6. Welcome to the forum. Do not worry about eco mode, it is just a Citroen/Peugeot thing that shuts off a few things like the radio and internal lights if they or a door is open for some time in an effort to stop the battery going flat. Once the engine runs it will clear the message. Check the battery voltage using a meter, it should be about 12.5 volts or more without the engine running, below about 12.3 volts and it is flat and may recover if charged. Much below about 12 volts and it probably needs replacing. If the voltage is ok, check its connections and the wiring to the starter motor and the earth wire to the gearbox, just in case these are reducing the voltage reaching the starter when trying to start the engine. Also if the battery is ok, it could be the starter motor that is at fault such as worn brushes on the armature or the solenoid contact may be faulty. I have assumed the clicking noise is the solenoid on the starter motor showing that the ignition switch is ok. You often find batteries fail in cold weather and last time I bought a new one in a December at a eurocarparts store, there were a few other people doing the same. If you can not jump start the car though it may suggest the battery is not the problem.
  7. The site is not letting me add any more files, it is giving a max file size of 4.85kb. I deleted the previous photo thinking this may have been the problem but now I can not put it back on. I will try again another day. I vaguely remember the hexagon being in a different position on the new tensioner once tightened.
  8. I do not remember the tension being variable, just the pointer was not in the right position after turning the engine over but after several attempts at setting the tension I gave up and left it. I have noticed the stud that your tensioner fastens on seems to be longer than on our car or it has come unscrewed a bit. Maybe you need to remove the tensioner, check the stud is right and refit the tensioner. I would also check the belt is not a tooth out and is the right one (length) against the old one - was it from a Citroen dealer ? I will attach another couple of photos before I changed the belt.
  9. The parts diagrams seem to show it at the side of the doser valve before the inlet manifold on top of the engine. It could be part no. 1920CZ (check using your VIN) and is shown here to give you an idea what to look for http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Citroen-Berlingo-C2-C3-C4-C5-C8-Dispatch-or-Xsara-Picasso-MAP-Sensor-1920-CZ-/171513502877
  10. Welcome to the forum. Easy one first - none of rear seat belts fastened. We get this on our C5 and seems to be normal for Citroens so is not a fault. The low tyre pressure could be a faulty sensor. This may help from the C5 Technical section Common Problems pinned topic: 26. Tyre pressure sensor failure. This seems to be a particular problem on the mark 3 C5 (2008 on) where the valve stems can crumble. It is possible to just replace the stems with a repair kit for £9.99, ref Robhall77. See http://www.citroen-o...sor/#entry75957 Plastic caps instead of metal will also help. This on battery disconnection is also from the Common Problems topic and could be worth trying. The radio might also have its own battery on its side which could be discharged. If you try another C5 radio it would need coding to your car, otherwise it may beep a lot. 16. Odd electrical problems caused by wrong battery disconnection procedure. If you need to disconnect the battery and not do a BSI reset procedure, I have found the following has not given me any problems on a 2004 and 2007 C5 and a 2003 C3: - remove the ignition key from the car - open the bonnet - wait a few minutes for the BSI to shut down - disconnect the battery negative terminal When reconnecting - ignition key out of the car - reconnect the battery - wait a few minutes - insert the key in the ignition and wait a minute - turn the key to the first position and wait a minute - turn the key so the dash lights come on and wait a minute - start the engine - take the windows down and up to reset the anti pinch - reset the clock (and radio on the C3). To see what the depollution message means you probably need a diagnostic check but possibly the exhaust dpf is blocking up, how many miles/km has the car done ? It could also be another sensor that is failing.
  11. Just some comments on the values posted. The cranking speed at 198 rpm may be a bit low for starting, possibly the battery is getting discharged with trying to start it. Since you are seeing the rpm then the crankshaft sensor is probably ok. IAT - inlet air temp at 2°C, this is about right considering the cold weather. ETC - if this is the engine temperature then at 2°C this is about right considering the weather. FRP - if this is the fuel pressure it is low at 300 kpa. I think it ought to be around 250 bar and since there are 100 kpa (kilo pascals) in a bar then you should be getting around 25000 kpa. Possibly the fuel pressure switch is not right or the fuel pump is not giving the pressure. MAP - manifold pressure at 100 kpa is about right until the engine is running - effectively it is showing atmospheric pressure. MAF - I do not know if this is about right at 1.93 g/sec but a faulty MAF would probably not stop the engine running, only put it in limp mode. TP - 0 %, probably throttle position, this will go up if you push the accelerator pedal.

    Spark Plugs

If not sure of which engine you have you may be best getting the plugs from a Citroen dealer using your VIN. You could also put the letters of your VIN on here since this includes the engine type or do an internet search on them. I have found that parts from a Citroen dealer are priced reasonably compared to such as eurocarparts but also I know they are the correct ones and will fit. Also if you use the dealer a lot they may give you a discount.
  13. The Lexia is the Citroen diagnostic tool. Chinese copies are available through ebay to install on a lap top and are up to about £100. Most people would buy a diagnostic tool/code reader once they have a problem, otherwise it would not be used much. With your car being a petrol pre 2001, low cost code readers may not work on it since it is before cars had to be OBD compliant but a Lexia probably would work and you should check with the supplier. There are some Lexia topics here http://www.citroen-owners-club.co.uk/citroen/topic/23278-lexia-diagbox-pp2000-topics-1822016/
  14. When using the sat nav on our 2007 C5 (Navidrive) you can adjust the sat nav volume whilst a direction is being given so this may apply to the Myway version.
  15. Searching on P1207 comes up with faults with things like the injectors, HP pump, fuel filter, pressure sensor. As well as the fault code, if this was not deleted there will also be freeze frame data taken when the fault occurred so you should note all this. You can then add this with the live data when trying to start the car. Can you remember when you changed the fuel filter were there any bits of metal in it ?

    C3 Lights

We never had any odd electrical problems on our 2003 C3 but Citroens can sometimes have them if the battery voltage is low, so something to check. You could also try a bsi reset since the lighting is all controlled by this (cabin fuse box) and there is a procedure pinned in the C5 Technical section http://www.citroen-owners-club.co.uk/citroen/topic/15093-bsi-reset/ . I have put your car details in your signature since this saves time when replying to your posts. I could not find the engine size though but at a guess it is 1.4 litre since the Haynes manual says the auto gearbox was available as an option on the 1.4 petrol when first launched in 2002.
  17. If cranking then the HP diesel pump must be pumping fuel unless there is a blockage before it (or tank empty) but you say the hand pump goes hard when pumped so this is unlikely. Then for the fuel to go in to the cylinders the injectors need to work which would need relevant engine sensors being ok such as the fuel pressure and crank sensor showing the engine is turning. To check the fuel pressure needs a diagnostic but the crank sensor might be checked as mentioned previously - see if any revs are shown when cranking since it usually provides the info for the rev counter, next check the sensor resistance across its pins - alternatively do a diagnostic check or replace it. Part no. may be 1920GJ but check using your VIN) but if not faulty it would be a waste of money. On ebay copy ones are only about £15. Sometimes copy parts do not work as well as ones from a dealer so something to consider..
  18. Looking on the parts diagrams there are a few different part nos. depending on the engine and whether auto or manual and whether supplied already configured against the VIN. For a 2.0 hdi 138 bhp, manual gearbox it gives 5277J9 for one to be configured and 5277K0 already configured. These should be checked using your VIN. The bhi is not supplied separately, unlike on the earlier C5 model. I do not know if the bhi can be removed from the pump but since yours needs replacing anyway I would have a go unless there is a reply on here to say otherwise (also try a message to coastline taxis, he will know). If the bhi can not be swapped you would need to get a pump with the same part no. and then have it configured to your car using the Lexia tool at a dealer or if there is a member in your area with a Lexia they may help (see Technical section for a pinned topic). The parts diagrams can be seen as a free service if you register as another professional non emergency services and a member of the Citroen Owners Club on the service.citroen site and then use your VIN (VIS) top left to find your car. http://service.citroen.com/pages/index.jsp You may need to select your language first. The pump can be found under Mechanical, Suspension.
  19. When you turn the ignition key does the engine turn over on the starter motor ? If so does the rev counter show anything ? If not it might be the crankshaft sensor. According to the French RTA manual it is located next to the crankshaft pulley and should have a 3 pin connector. If you measure the resistance across the pins, it says it should be about 1 mega ohm across 2 combinations and infinite across the other. Other than this, replacing lots of sensors can be expensive hoping to find the fault without having a diagnostic check.
  20. I guess this is it on ebay, a one owner, a white 1993 ZX diesel, 1.9 litre using the reg in eurocarparts site http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Citroen-ZX-Avantage-Diesel-Automatic-5-door-Hatchback-car-/111905978168?#description It does not say if a turbo or not. The 2015 service history mentions new rear brake shoes and cylinders but not brake pads. It says there is no history of a cam belt change so this must be a first thing to do on the car. Recent Citroens have a mileage or 10 year interval if sooner but I do not know about 23 year old Citroens.
  21. Not all cars have a lift pump in the fuel tank and yours may be one of them, hence the need for the hand primer - have a look on the eurocarparts site. Did the engine management light come on ? It is possible the crankshaft position sensor may have failed since these will stop the engine but usually not give a fault code. They will sometimes fail when hot but once cooled down allow the engine to start again until hot but eventually not work at all. There may be other causes and a diagnostic check may be needed to find out. You could also check the engine fusebox since these can fail - have a look at the C5 Common Problems topic.
  22. Welcome to the forum. This is a common problem on the 2008 on C5 since water can get in to the motors. You may be able to do a fix, have a look here from the C5 Technical section Common Problems pinned topic and in post 7 it mentions a recall on 2009 cars for the o/s motor which you could check in case the other motor is about to fail: 43. New C5 (X7) front wipers not working properly. Before replacing one of the 2 wiper motors, it may be possible to do a fix to the motor wiring pins - see this topic from c5vtrhttp://www.citroen-o...x7-wiper-motor/
  23. Probably your warranty is a breakdown one which would not cover wear and tear. To prove it was a sudden breakdown you will probably need to pay a garage to remove the parts for examination and it if is not accepted as a breakdown, then pay the garage to fit everything back. As well as the clutch the dual mass flywheel (dmf) will probably need replacing. You can look on eurocarparts to get an idea of the parts costs and on their site a LUK clutch is £225 and a LUK flywheel £198 plus you will need gearbox oil and probably drive shaft oil seals. The labour is about 8 hours since there are lots of things to remove - drive shafts, front subframe, drain cooling system, gearbox is removed from underneath, usual things such as starter motor and gearbox end engine mountings. If you are going to do it yourself I would get the Citroen service box 3 dvd manual from ebay. This includes Citroen's workshop procedures as well as parts and wiring diagrams.
  24. Welcome to the forum. You need to get the replacement radio coded to your car. This will need a diagnostic using a Lexia tool at a Citroen dealer or elsewhere. Citroen radios are coded to the original car to which they are installed as a theft precaution and as you have found, fitting in a different car without being recoded will cause it to bleep. You could also consider repairing your old radio using parts from the replacement and then save the cost of recoding.
  25. Welcome to the forum. You may find getting parts for a ZX is not easy since Citroen may not keep them leaving the scrap option and maybe aftermarket parts, so something to check before buying, especially if you know the car needs a repair to get it in good order. Diesels can cost more for fuel filters and fuel pumps but the other usual things will be similar (brakes, oil, filters) but you would need to check things like a turbo are not in need of replacing.
