Which way did you check the fluid level
-
well still no further injector just wont come out. engine now out and got a guy comming from bedale on wedensday they have a 20 ton puller that he say will pull the injector out without any damage
-
iif you look after it properly and dont abuse it then theres really no expiry date on the engine
-
Would be interesting to no who is who and what is what on the site, and maybe a small charge so that spyware/adware/antivirus etc etc could be bought also the cost covered as someone somewhere must be paying something
-
if your going to have the pump of for any lenght of time then screw the retaining ring back on.

Got some advice of nigel at tcc and replaced the other 3 injectors and left the stuck 1 unbolted but left the feed pipe on so injector was firing. Packed the area with loads of foam fired engine up and reved the backside of it and it still wouldnt budge. Still at full revs we then tried to lever it out with a 4ft crowbar and it still wouldnt budge. Deciding that the injector wasnt going to come out in one piece we unscrewed the top off the injector and welded a hook to the nut then screwed it back on to the injector the put the arm of the engine hoist onto it and lifted the arm up. still wouldnt budge so fired engine up again got a long bar and placed it flat against the injector with the hoist lifting the engine up via the injector (its a 4 ton hoist) and engine running flat out the bar was belted with a sledge hammer and after all that its still stuck. Weve had stuck ones in the past but never anything like this. so next step is engine out to see if we can get a 10 ton puller on it

got a fiat scudo(same as a cit dispatch/pug expert) in the other day no power and management light on. anyway to cut a long story short i just couldnt get me head round why it wasnt right so we took it to town center citroen. And as usual fault was found at a very very resonable price. Its the injectors so now this is where the people of this site come in. Weve managed to get 3 out but the forth wont budge its a very comon fault with these and weve tried various way but it just wont come out and is begining to look like well end up having to buy another head/engine as well have to damage stuff to get it out UNLESS any body on here knows of any chemical that will break the bond or eat away at the carbon that is holding it in

take the dual mass off altogether. get a 4 in 1 clutch kit we do it to ours and theres no diference to the car

wow what a week weve had very very busy both in the garage and the taxis (very much needed as its been really quiete recently). Anyway back to this post the stepper motors on the speedo are prone to packing in on a c5 so you cant assume its connected to the abs fault although it most probaly is by the sounds of it a quick test will sharp show one way or the other. zero your trip display and take the car for a mile drive if it shows the mile up on the trip meter then its your stepper motor if its still on zero then the fault is connected. Abs fault youl not get much out of the ecu by going into the engine side of things. Youl need a decent scanner or lexia and go into the abs side then live data then wheel speed take it for a drive and youl see if all 4 wheels are returning a signal. What diagnostic machine are you using/does it do citroen if it does then you need to check the fuse for the obd port(its in the glove box right hand side of the fuses 10 amp i think). it sounds like it wasnt a citroen dealer you took the car to as they would always give you options of where to start next. So you need to ask whoever it was that done the diagnostic if theyve had any experience with citroens if they havnt then for the sake of your pocket you need to find someone who does

check the coil pack very common fault on the petrol. got one and a pump if you need them
-
absolute doddle to fit. phoned our local scrappy the other day and a caliper for a c5 is £10 so its just not worth farting about with

Ive tried for 2 years to post pics on hear as ive had some really good stuff. thought it was just me ive tried and tried and just cant seem to figure out how to do it. maybe a step by step guide is needed

new bearing from the dealers
-
put some pics on espicaly the engine and dash please
-
If its from the back wheel then it cant be engine oil asw thats at the front. Chances are that its lds fluid of the suspension. Did you put the suspension on high b4 jacking it op
-
Sound very much like your thrust bearing has gone, anyway your gearbox has to come out. its roughly 3 hours to take a box out then a hour to swap clutch etc then 3 hours to put back. so your looking at 7 hours labour plus parts heres a list of what youl need to do the job properly Youl need the following 1x clutch plate 1x pressure plate 1x release bearing 1x nose cone 1x fulcrum arm 2x litre bottles of gearbox oil and if your removing the dual mass flywheel (i would as there very unreliable) 1x solid flywheel with your tow in fee youl be looking at the £800.

recheck the conection incase a wire has broke alsocheck the bearing again as weve had ones in the past that actually fit but dont alow the cv joint to sit right in and stops the abs sensor from getting a signal. measure how much cv joint is coming thru the hub on the other side and compare to the new bearing side. Its normally with the discount store bearings that we comme across this problem
-
yes about 6 inches long
-
Good to see you back gs.
-
Yes its behind the glove box undo the multiplug then it just twists out bit like a light bulb
-
It shouldnt be coming of the seat belt as the meter runs of electrical pulses and weve had them in the past when something goes wrong with the meter the pulses cause mayhem with the car especialy if its a digatax meter. Anyway if you remove the fuse panel in the glove box to the right theres a thick blue and white wire we use to get a live feed and to the left theres a 13mm bolt that we use as a negative feed. If your meter was installed by a digi rep id be asking him a few questions about the live feed hes using
-
Just pick the live up from your meter wire or if you want a seperate feed to it then just follow the meter wire to where it picks its live up from
-
the bearings are no harder to do than a mondeo or a vectra and as kimo says take the hub to any garage and theyl press it out for a packet of tabs
-
No glitches at all in fact the doors are one of if not the easiest we come across to remove also wings very easy to remove aswell
-
there isnt any other way unless you just want to try and guess what the fault is. Which will cost you a lot more in the long wrong
