hi i've had my C4 six months now and been pretty pleased with it so far only been in once although there are a couple of things like the speaker in the passenger door vibrating but its not too annoying yet however the service counter seems to have a mind of its own when i got the car it had 8.5k on the clock and the service counter said around 12k, when the mileage hit 11k the service indicator said 8K. I went to france and did 1.5 k in a couple of weeks but the indicator hardly dropped but now at 13k the service indicator says 2.8k is this happening to anyone else ?

the citroen dealers recommend headlight protectors with built in converters and having seen a British C4 exclusive on the car park at the cite du Europe in Calais I can understand why, the protector was upside down . I used the eurolites one as said previously because it was an impromptu visit,if i was planning to go again I'd get the headlight protectors, having seen the price of new headlights worth the extra protection. Wouldn't like to feel the wrath of a French trucker if my headlights weren't right.

I've just been to France and although I dont have the Xenon headlights I got the eurolite converters that tell you exactly how to convert the headlights for both headlights available on the C4 there is a diagram for each version in the instructions to help you convert them correctly.

spotted a C4 in the garage on Coronation St does that count? :P there seems to be a lot on the M6 when i was going to Accrington from Bristol on the 12th Oct there was 4 of us my little blue one, a black VTS, an iron grey VTR+ and and Artic Steel one not sure what spec.

I have a 1.4 and it depends what your used to I've come from a xsara 1.4, the C4 version has better pull and faster acceleration than the xsara just been to France with a fully loaded boot travelled over 1000 miles and only really struggled once , it depends on your driving style and what your used to though, I had a 1.6 VTR as a courtesy car for a week and was glad to get my little 1.4 back because I prefer the economy but thats a personal preference.

I worked for a plastics company making parts for Rover, Honda, Nissan and the PSA factory in Coventry and if we had parts returned especially by PSA they would be repackaged and sent to Rover as there quality standards were not as high as the other manufacturers. In fact PSA were the strictest in terms of quality and we used to get here tails of how well the company treated the staff. Shame they have taken the decision now to close the factory. BMW owned Rover when I made parts for them and our jobs were always at threat so the demise was a long slow one and I believe Rover were bailed out by the Government twice in the 70's and 80's.

<_< silly me must be MINI latest experience queued up in roadworks MINI Cooper S decides he doesnt want to wait so goes down the wrong side of the road to the junction to turn right comes face with an Astra who is shaken and he tries to blame her. Then decides hes changing his mind and turns left infront of the queue that had been waiting patiently.

had to go for the taxi drivers because they think the law doesnt apply to them in my home town and in Bristol and probably every other town in the UK

Mini's missing too they think they own the road

Has anyone taken their car abroad? I was checking with the dealer to see about beam detectors and was told you cant get them to stick on the headlight, you have to buy the headlight protector which has them built so was wondering if anyone had any experience.
-
got to be BMW because of some of the drivers lastest incident on Sat going down a steep S bend, luckily very slowly, a BMW decided he didnt want to wait so overtook the landrover coming up the hill so we ended up face to face but luckily because the breaks are good I stopped in time still wasnt fun though

for 1st offence isnt there an option to take a driver awareness course instead of the points, might be worth a shot you have to pay for the course and be lectured on the dangers of driving fast but you avoid the points. I've noticed that the i seem to go faster than i did in my Xsara so have started using the speed limiter, but seem to get overtaken by those numpties that think the speed limits dont apply to them.

got to be the seatbelts for me shame they cant put the coupe seatbelts on the seat so they come over your shoulder rather than in your neck

sorry about your car <_< know what you mean about other drivers one of my cars developed a big dent while i was on holiday and other drivers look at you like you've done it frustrating people judge by other peoples actions -
i'd never had a 3dr car before but decided i liked the look of the coupe better so it was not about money it was a straight choice of liking the coupe more as i was looking at a hatchback as well
-
got to agree miss that feature from the Xsara but wonder how many people put the keys down in the boot and close it before realising  shame they dont put a 12v socket in the boot

its only a 1.4 its 17 months old and has 10k on the clock the flat spot occurs at the traffic lights roundabouts and when turning corners it got a bit more frequent recently but didnt have any problems on the way back from the dealers it was suggested it could be supermarket fuel thats causing it but i'm sceptical about that
-
been for recall and flat spot, they told me there was no fault showing but i was insistant so they went away again and came back saying there was now a fault that they have reset, been told to use ron 98 petrol as its probably supermarket petrol causing it anyone else been told to use this and does it make a difference?

what a load of twaddle which? talk i've had Citroens for 15 years with minimal trouble i've had one ford in that time, that was a nightmare for parts and :o expensive, there are so many myths created about cars to the point i think the person writing the article has shares in Ford. sample size of 34 not really big enough to gain any decent inference and statistics can be manipulted to suit the outcome the writer is looking for. I wonder if the focus sample size is 1. I remember looking at cars 15 years ago I was 19 and went round all the dealers, the Ford salesman was only interested in the tale about an xr3i being written off I was insignificant in his eyes, the Citroen guys however let me take a car for a test drive on my own and were really helpful hence although i've had a couple of non citroens since there has always been one in the family since the 1st one. Every car has its faults, got a friend with a 3 year old mini thats been in and out of the dealers since day.
-
thanks got it working now was wondering about the recall because i had asked the saleman if the car was upto date with them it was supposed to be done while it was at the dealers for something else last week but they didnt have the parts
