  1. :angry: Just a quick note to say thanks for the help to try & resolve my problem with the additive alarm. After never ending problems i have traded in the car & gone back to a Toyota ( which i have been driving trouble free for years before my citroen nightmare!!!) Keep up the good work. Jason
  2. :angry: Hi there... i think i can help you with this as i have just had same problem..on both doors!!! What u need to do is get a star socket set to remove the 4 small screws on the door card(door panel).Two screws behind the inside door handle ,(which just pulls off)one at the very bottom left and one at bottom right.With door panel off you should see various rods & switches on the mechanism....push up the rod that comes through the panel with the plastic on the end.You may have to try pushing & pulling the rods to reset it to correct setting.What i did is lower window & keep trying it till you feel resistance on the outside door handle(im guessing there is no resistance & nothing happens when you pull handle from outside,right?) Once you have got door working again what i did was remove the rod that comes up through the door panel,as if you dont when it is pushed down it will happen again. Ive just chopped in my C8 2.2 hdi exclusive for a Toyota after enduring 11 months of problems...even the dealer couldnt remedy it in the end. If you want my advice i would say get rid of it before it starts costing you serious money!!! The cars are great but the build quality is terrible and the parts are expensive..   3. :huh: HERE IS THE REPORT FROM ANOTHER DEALER I HAVE JUST COME BACK FROM(AFTER BEING SAT THERE 7 HOURS!!) "CHECK PARTICLE FILTER COUNTERS.FOUND NOT RESET.RESET EOLYS COUNTER.FOLLOW PROCEDURE TO FOOL ECU INTO THINKING FUEL HAS BEEN ADDED.LIGHT GOES OFF.ROAD TEST..LIGHT COMES BACK ON.REPEAT ABOVE PROCEDURE,RESET COUNTERS,IGNITION OFF WAIT 10 SECS.RUN ENGINE FOR 1 MIN- SWITCH OFF WAIT 4 MINS.RECHECK FAULT CODES, STILL PERMANENT. REPEAT ABOVE PROCEDURE ADDING 10 L FUEL,LOXIA CRASHES AGAIN.FAULT LEAD ON LEXIA2 LIGHT STILL ON.CHECK ALL FUSES INP5F1 & BSI,ALL O.K. REMOVE COVER TO EOLYS RESOVOIR.CHECK IMPEDENCE OF EOLYS MOTOR..FOUND O.K. CONSULT CIRCUIT DIAGRAM. TEST EOLYS PUMP..ALL O.K. CHECK FEED & EARTH TO PUMP FOUND NO FEED. SUSPECT BREAK IN WIRE. 1284 ON ENGINE MANAGEMENT ECU . NO RESISTANCE IN MOTOR ...PIN 4 - EARTH GOOD" SO THERE ADVICE IS BOOK IT BACK IN FOR 2 DAYS... THIS NIGHTMARE IS GETTING EXPENSIVE!! I CAN SEE A 6 PIN PLUG(OF WHICH ONLY 4 ARE USED) ATTATCHED TO THE ADDITIVE TANK..IS THIS THE PUMP/MOTOR OR JUST A SENSOR??ANY HELP ON WHERE THE EOLYS MOTOR IS WOULD POINT ME IN RIGHT DIRECTION..IF I CAN FIND IT MAYBE I CAN TRACE THE WIRE BACK & HOPEFULLY TRACE THE BREAK.

I CAN GET THE CAR IN AT ANOTHER DEALER ON TUE OR WED NEXT WEEK.IF THEY CANT RESET THE COMPUTER I WILL SEE WHAT ADVICE THEY OFFER ME TO REMEDY THE PROBLEM.I WILL ALSO ASK IF IT IS POSSIBLE TO DISABLE THE FUNCTION ALTOGETHER JUST TO STOP THE ALARM COMING UP,BUT I DOUBT THATS POSSIBLE. I WILL KEEP YOU POSTED! THANKS AGAIN.
  5. :o tanks for that reply. Well here is the latest.I phoned the dealer today and asked if it was put through a regeneration to which they said no...because they say the first thing is to reset the counters..and they are saying they wont reset so they cant go to the next step.They are telling me an additive Ecu "may" let them reset the counters.I am thinking of taking the car to another dealer & for £70 let them try to reset counters then try a forced regeneration.I have tried putting in extra fuel(15l) after it came back to see if alarm would cancel ...but it didnt. Can i cause any damage to the engine while running it with alarm coming on? it only comes up once 30 secs after start up then goes off..and there is definately additive in the tank. Cheers.... jase.
  6. Thanks for the reply... They said they have tried to reset the counters but i dont know about putting it through a forced regeneration.I would have assumed so with it being a main dealer.I will ask them in the morning.Thinking about it the fuel level was the same when it came out & they didnt charge me on the bill for fuel..so i would say they had not done the regeneration. THAKS AGAIN. I WILL KEEP YOU INFORMED.
  7. :blink: CAN ANYONE HELP ME WITH THIS ?? I HAVE AN 03 C8 2.2 HDI EXCLUSIVE. AT 49K I HAD ALARM SAYING DIESEL FILTER CLOGGED.AFTER A GOOD RUN THE ALARM DIDNT SHOW UP FOR A FEW WEEKS , BUT THEN ALARM SAYING DIESEL ADDITIVE MINIUMUM LEVEL COMES ON SOON AFTER START UP. I HAVE REPLACED THE DIESEL PARTICLE FILTER & HAD THE ELOYS FLUID CHANGED BUT ALARM STILL COMES ON SAYING MINIMUM LEVEL.BEEN TO DEALER & PUT ON DIAGNOSTIC BUT STILL WONT CANCEL.THEY HAVE SUGGESTED REPLACING ECU BUT NOT SURE THAT IT WILL BE THAT. I HAVE BEEN UNDERNEATH THE CAR MYSELF AND FOUND WHAT I THINK IS SENSOR ON ADDITIVE TANK & UNPLUGGED IT , BUT THIS HAD NO EFFECT STILL SAME. ANY HELP WOULD BE APPRECIATRD!!!
