  1. Hi people. My mums 05 plate C3 LX is starting to play up. When the clutch and engine are cold, when you move off, the clutch seems to make the car vibrate and lurch a bit, almost like you've gone slightly past the bite point. The car hasn't stalled yet, but this seems to be getting worse. Is this a clutch problem that's gonna cost a lot in the long run? Mark
  2. Thanks! Sorry for the delay in replying. Been on holiday! Sometimes, the ride level height indicator goes out whilst driveing, when you change the height, it comes back on again for the correct level then oges off. Is this still a software fault? Mark_lar
  3. Maybe but i'm only 15 so i don't have a huge access for cars as you do. Give it a try and tell us what happens!
  4. Hello all The father has another problem. if he uses the rear windscreen wiper on his C5 estate whilst moving, the overspeed warning comes up on the display in the centre of the dash. Also, the lights flicker sometimes at night. e.g, the LCD on the dash will go dim aswell as the headlights for maybe a second then return to full brightness. are these ECU/ electric problems?
  5. Right, start the car, turn off the child lock, (if it's on, on the dash) Hold down the lock button on the dash for a few seconds. You should here a bong noise. Next time you drive off, the doors will lock after you go above 5mph or so. Amazing what you can discover if you lean on the dashboard by accident! Oh yeah, repeating the process turns the auto locking off again.
  6. Why chip a car? The engine, gearbox, camshaft etc will be desgined for the amount of power it rolls out the factory with. By adding more power to the engine, you are risking severe engine damage. The pistons and engine block especially won't be able to cope with it.
  7. Hello all. My dad has a Citroen C5 estate. The car is fine whilst it is being driven but we were sitting a cafe the other day and we could see it was bobbing from left to right, up and down. Like it was trying to level itself out but the ground was perfectly flat. We sat there for 20 miniutes watching it but in the end went out to start it so the battery didn't go flat. Is this a sensor fault or a ECU failure? Its a 52 reg C5 estate. Thanks Mark_lar
