My Renault (Rubbish) (Rubbish) dealer puts my citroen dealer to shame. Renault (Rubbish) (Rubbish) dealer i had the service area was run by my flatmates brother though (known my flat mate since we were 4) so my car was always looked after very well. My clio had no problems in 3 years though i cant say the same about my C4 in 4 months. The Clio felt better on the road was more fun to drive comfortable and had everything i wanted as well cd player etc. As a result i would buy another clio. I wouldnt buy a laguna though megane i would consider as well. The lagunas arent known for being great. The clios were known as being cheap but they werent that bad. Mine didnt even have any rattles after 3 years. The puntos feel really cheap. And corsas handle like a sack of crap. Think next car i buy though is gonna end up being something to race only trackday car. And im considering something japanese and rear wheel drive i wanna get into drifting a bit more theres just something about driving sideways that appeals to me. The (rubbish) thing next to Renault (Rubbish) annoys me lol.

If the bodyrolls it means im pushing to much for the car yeah. But after coming from a clio which would leave my C4 trailing in corners the C3 was slower round them than my C4 and my clio was totally standard as well. Dont rate Puntos either. Most cars that go into the back of a stationary car will suffer more damage than the stationary car. Crumple zone thing. yeah suppose road tax comes into it. I mean im only 21 but i know i couldnt drive the 1.4 C3 i could drive it but couldnt live with it on a daily basis. I like my cars to feel a little sportier. My C4 is only a group6 though which isnt much more to insure than a group3 to be honest £100 or so more. And to me its deffinately worth it to have that extra bit of power. And a nicer feeling car. the C3 falls into the same class as the fiesta, punto clio etc. But in the class the C3 is competing in it really is one of the worst. the fiesta, punto, clio, fabia, polo etc are all better built better feeling cars. Never seen the end of complaints about the C3 on here. To the point how many people on here who complained about them now have got rid of them after only a short amount of time owning them? Will find quite a lot have or that they would not buy another one. If i was buying a car in that class again i would buy another clio. Theres nothing else that comes close to the fun it gives you and if you want economy you cant beat the DCi engines. with the lower power ones putting out nearly 100mpg in testing.

I own a C4 and after driving a C3 1.1 desire it was truly awful the handling, bodyroll general grip was awful. Sweeping corners i go round in the C4 and it stays completely flat the C3 was near enough on its side for at slower speeds. Build quality is crap and the cheapness of the plastics does not help. Saw a topgear thing the other day which said the C4 has near enough as good a feel plastics as half the mercs and bmws have which i thought was a good review as the C4 dash isnt really plastic feels more like a material. The C3 the one i drove was hopeless on power. And considering the top of the range 1.6 C3 is heavier than the equivalent C4 somethings is wrong as a result the performance suffers. The HDi's will feel quicker than they are due to the amount of torque and the turbo. Im really not a fan of the C3 at all. Would much rather have a C2 if i was looking at a smallish hatchback otherwise theres the C4 which is just ahead of everything else in the range on build quality and power etc. No dodgy sensodrive gearboxes either.

Its just cause the cars arent completely changed for the right hand drive market in frnace and most other countries the lock would be on the correct side. Just a way of cutting costs down. I dont think its that bad to be honest you will find a lot of cars are similar.

I know the setup is stiffer on the VTS and the steering is a little more possitive feeling but i woulda thought it got lowered even if only slightly. You seen citroens site though recently apparently now the VTS has a 6 speed gearbox..i think thats a mistake somehow though. As the HDI that had the 6 speed box no longer does lol.

Lowering springs are fairly cheap £100 or so. And can be fitted yourself. Various ones available from -20mm to 40mm After that its getting too low. 40mm seems about perfect though gets rid of the gaps in the arches and just makes the car look so much nicer probably helps a fair bit in the handling as well. But i thought the VTS was slightly lower than the rest anyway?

Stop tempting me dont wanna spend anymore money on it! Lol. If i bought the exhuast id have to do the whoel lot induction kit and remap among other things. Plus im broke right now. THink if i was doing anything to it next though would be lowered / stiffer suspension would love t get it on some coilovers dont want it ridiculously low i just want the handling improved.

Went out and bought a load of megs stuff whe i had my clio. Really want to get myself a proper PC Polisher though but there around $200 and have to be got from the states.

I always take mine thorugh the local hand carwash place unless its nice out then i will do it myself as i make a better job of it. Just takes me hours since i usually polish and wax it all etc. There was only 2 other colours that appealed to me Black and Irdis. After the test drive i basically signed everything put down i wanted a black one then went back the next day after i saw a red one on the forecourt. Just looked absolutely lovely. Unfortunately it looks awful and isnt really red when it gets dirty.

Not all the VTS's have spoilers although have heard of a few carwashes ripping them off. The cars dont look right without the spoiler though. Not surprised they gave you free fitting on the spoiler took me less than an hour to fit it and i had never done it before. There is only 2 torx screws holding a bit of the plastic in then 5 bolts.

It is a bit annoying that they dont give you 2 i mean for the amount of money we spend on the cars they should give us another proper folding key.

Could still change the unit only a 2 seconds job to unplug the wiring loom and stick it back in the other headunit when need be.

There is a slight difference in the C4 wipers on the passenger side but to be honest the bit where its cleared more you'd be sat looking at the sky looking out of it. The only problem i have with the C4 wipers is in very bad rain they just dont clear the screen fast enough at all. Would be nice if they were a bit quicker.

Was told normal key is £60 to reaplce and the fob is neaer to £130. But yeah i only got 1 folding key as well.

Bottom left controls my interior lights dimming and my climate control on my car. Dont think id sacriface that for bluetooth then agan i cant fit bluetooth to mine no more since went and put a full aftermarket stereo in my car. But hell it met the parent approval i managed to convince my mother subs are not bad thats gotta count for something lol.

Which engines does this affect? I get a little bit of judder every so often but i think its normally cause im not giving it enough gas.

My C4 is similar except i think there is 12 bars on the fuel guage. But its bloody useless comp says i have 30- miles left then tells me i have nothing when i give it a bit off the line.

Just be careful. I know a few people that have had brand new mercs and they had a lot of warranty work done to them. 1 even refused his car due to the problems that the dealers just couldnt get rid off. Spoke to a lot of people who all had the same thing to say a merc built 10 years ago is better put together than the new ones.

If you go to a local audio shop they will install it for £20 usually. Otherwise its a case of an adaptor the shop will sell usually need 2 parts. Its not that hard to do it yourself but just keep in mind theres at least £50 worth of costs just on adaptors to take into account might be more if you go into a shop. Took £30 worth to get mine in my C4 and then messing about wiring things up.
