  1. I have never had mine over 3 bars either...
  2. always :D
  3. I reckon leave your car at work or something and put the mother in law in the garage with her car, set up a video camera and leave the garage door slightly open and watch the comedy!!
  4. looks sweet dude, but WTF is dangling from your rear view mirror!?!?!?! :D
  5. nice man!!
  6. "hitty" is a pedigree cricket bat... I do like the mother-in-law idea though I think that could work.
  7. Awwwwww...bless HINT: Buy a Turbo conversion...that'll show him.... it was nothing to do with speed, it was bigger wheels and darker windows that did I think. flashy VTS owners, with there Tomtoms and big silver iPod playing thingy boxes and extra badges showing their BHP :D
  8. that was the last time I washed mine too :D my wheels are black and i have a cool brown muddy effect that blends up to matt blue on the doors :D
  9. I have a furry imobiliser in mine...I call him Dante and he quite likes Pedigree Chum and chocolate...want to borrow it?? :D A 30KG German Shepherd puts of twocers quite well I find...not to put the fear on, if someone is after the car is will be stolen to order rather than a joyride special. I think that is clifford that have an alarm that sends a text message to your phone when the alarm is activated...I keep thinking about that one so I can take "HItty" the bat and introduce the twocers to him
  10. I do all of the above....the only time I was dissapointed was when mine was parked next to Ham and his had a crowd and mine didnt...

  13. all of the trim on the windscreen is covered on warranty, I had the bits on the side replaced and I need to get the bottom bit replaced. The bit that the brake fluid bottle is attached to under the bonnet....
  14. leave it... i'm broke now that I am paying insurance again...after Christmas though they will be oh yes they will be mine!
  15. there are loads of examples of "new customer" Vs "old customer". A collegue got a renemal qoute about £50 cheaper then the previous year then phoned his insurance company at posed as a new customer, same postcode just different house number and got about £200 off his quote...at least Dick Turpin wore a mask!!
  16. Welcome aboard Mike!! I have a VTR too, I am sure you will fall in love with it very quickly!!
  17. I have no loyalty when it comes to insurance. If another company offers me a cheaper premium I will call the company I am with and give them the chance to match it, if they cant then I go with the new company. I was with Performance Direct last year and the AA undercut them by £300 so I went with them. Same with mobile phones really, if O2 wont give me the phone I want free then I will go to Orange who will etc etc
  18. my 1.4 VTR is £651 down from £1200 last year. I'm with the AA too, they seem to be the cheapest around at the moment...
  19. you love us really :(
  20. what where you doing up at that hour you crazy man!?!?!
  21. they will replace the air scuttle (the black bit under the windscreen) under warrantee. and if you are talking about the triangular bit infront of the drivers door, just push it down with a bit of force. mine works its way up if I have been driving at speed
  22. yeah but you are old fossils with a cool car  !! I bet your the only mum and dad with a yellow car with big wheels and a spoiler that can outrun all other cars on the school run! yeah if you could wash and polish it once a week that would be great ohh and if you could keep it in the garage and only use it in the dry that would be good too :o I just did a cheeky quote and I got £1444...
  23. I have only ever seen one yellow VTS and that is Dave's. I keep seeing black ones, one at sainsbury's at lunch time has had an incredibly hard hit to the rear. bumper was missing flat glass panel and taillights where broken and it looked like the lower part had "curled" up. Must have happened this morning as it wasnt roadworthy. I was half tempted to leave my mobile number and see if he wouls sell me his wheels
  24. I started the car this morning at it was making a really bad grinding noise at idle, so in my normal fasion I ignored it and it has gone away. sounds like the roof trim at the back is banging over big bumps again I ignored it and it has gone away. I signed a payment requisition form for £30K worth of camera gear for work this morning and I have just been to Starbucks for caffine goodness. Scared the bejesus out of myself in the Impreza on the way back, greasy roundabout and too much gas with kanckered tyres. You do the math! I am now going to drink the half of my cappuchino that is still in the cup, I refuse to drink coffee from the floor mat of a car.
  25. I looked on Autotrader this morning and there are no Yellow ones for sale in the country...I reckon there are only a handfull around. So Dave&Trace the offer still stands!! I would like first refusal on yours
