  1. yep it does indeed, I think it knocks about 3 or 4 times and I can replicate it at anytime. It does seem to get better when the car has warmed up, first thing in a morning it will do it on most gear changes. My car really isnt a morning person, its very jerky, crashes about and sorts of things rattle and bang but as soon as I have done a mile or so normal service resumes.
  2. mine likes to jump from CD to radio and back again, no idea what causes it but it is just a push of a button to sort it.
  3. its a defiante metalic knocking noise coming from just behind the front seats. I still think it is the gear linkage hitting the exhaust/bottom of the car. The best way to recreate it in mine is 4th gear at 17-20mph. the car is silent so you can hear it clearly. I also have a tinkling noise coming from the back wheels, you can only hear this with the windows down...I have no idea what that is...
  4. you dont have a leg to stand on!! I have seen the contents of your changer :P no taste in music, but films are looking good.
  5. I am getting a funny feeling that is a trait of the 1.4, mine does it too and the garage has no idea what is causing it.
  6. cant imagine anything but the 180 needing any major work before 100K, most modern engines are the same in that respect...
  7. my car went to Ford to have the damage on my sig fixed. They did a bloody good job on it. That reminds me I should be able to clean this weekend if the weather is any good so I can put some new pics up.
  8. its only the VTS that have to have that done I think. Nothing is mentioned in my service book about anything major like that.
  9. I always tell the garage not to clean mine whenever they have it...
  10. why is someone who owns a C4 wearing a hoodie and a baseball cap!! lowers the brand down to Nova level! im angry now

    Snow

very true safety engineer... Well the snow has been completely none existant in Nottingham/Derby even though the weather forcasters where saying we were going to get some of the worst of it...I am dissapointed that we have no snow but I think that is mostly due to the weather people who where saying that the apocalypse was coming in the form of the white stuff... :D

we have nothing in Nottingham :D no pics of the car in snow for me then
  18. it was the ABS control unit that caught fire, the control block stopped the engine starting...
  19. yeah, I am waiting for it to get covered in snow so I can have a nice wintery feel to it :D
  20. I just read a review on the top gear website on the EGS, they said pretty much the exact opposite  makes you wonder about the differences between customer cars and the press fleet...
  21. mine got done yesterday too, along with the locks that forgot how to do their job...lock.
  22. I wouldnt worry about a squeek to much...the service guy said "spongy" or the pedal has all but no feel in it...might be worth nipping it in and let a tech take it out for a quick check...
  23. a bit of topic but I nipped to fetch my car from the dealer last night as the door locks stopped working, I was having a chat with the service manager and he was giving me some info about what you can have under warranty. My spring in my key has gone loose so the metal bit flops out, he has ordered me a new one FOC. I mentioned the problems that some people have been having with clutches and he said that they have heard that some of the early cars have been throwing them with minimal warning. He said that if the clutch feels even remotely different, spongy or starting to slip then bring it in as they go shortly after this. A trait that PSA clutches have, give you a little warning and then pack up, just like wozza's did. We also had a chat about what mods you can get away with. Remaps are OK as long as they are not found, sports filters are OK but swap back to the standard if going in for any work. The only thing you can really get away with is the exhaust. So really you will need to swap anything you change back to standard before you take it to the dealer...
