    Car Damage

a front wing is £180 unpainted and without fasteners....I have no idea how much back bumpers are but I would guess thay are just as much as the front so in the region of a grand...
  5. should be covered by the paint warrantee I reckon
  6. I have the 1.4 the engine does have to work harder than most as the car weighs so much. I am not sure what you mean by rocking though mine doesnt do anything like that. someone said earlier in this thread that they liven up after 3000RPM and that is certainly true in the case of mine, not sure if it is the injectors firing more or what but it is noticable mine is quit loud when it is cold but that is normal and calms down when warmed up..

    New Clutch

I think that is a 50/50 between both of you to be honest...I would be pissed if the clutch broke in the ass crack of nowhere knowing that it was with Citroen a few days before, but finding out that they are keeping the car for extra days with no other transprt would also cheese me off greatly...
  8. I need that now!! leave the wheels though thanks :)
  9. yeah I have noticed my passenger door looks a bit out of line but hey hum I dont look at that side :)

    Your Mpg?

what is it with other cars fascination with the rear of C4's!!! as you know mine had its arse removed a few months ago but the womans car was totalled and mine needed a new bumper. I would say there are indestructable but I will probably roll it in the 25MPH zone on the way home tonight now
  11. its not just my 'box that feels like it has blomonge instead of cogs in there  I got 503 miles from 50 litres...someone else can do the math but I thought that was frigin awesome...
  12. hehe its still guess work for me, mine has been into walls and railings countless times
  13. I know what you mean!!
  14. it looks like a very limited number of chassis numbers to be honest...I was talking to the chief technician when mine went in on Monday and he said it was nothing to worry about anyway it was merely the airbag check lights where staying on longer than the rest of the lights on the dash and it was making people worry...
  15. good point, well made. That guy can probably have your car cleaner than when it left the factory to be honest!!
  16. I saw that guy on some random car show the other weeks washing a maserati MC12, he is a bit thorough!! distilled water for the love of all things unholy!!
  17. I think you mean back to black...it is meant to be very good never used it personally though, might have to pick some up as my rubber bits are starting to dull a bit too...
  18. thats quite random...I though VTS was VTS petrol or diesel should be the same!! what a daft idea...
  19. the way to tell the difference is....does yours have a visible chrome exhaust?? does it have brushed alluminium centre console?? and does it have chrome bits on the steering wheel?? there are many more but they are the obvious ones...

    New Guy

Olah!! looks like the VTS spoiler is standard kit!!
  21. welcome aboard that man!!
  22. it seems my estimate on £270 a wheel was a bit out...it is roughly £120 a wheel without tyres and a decnt set of Pirrellis are about £60 each...you also need the ECU remapped to the wheel size which came as a bit of a shock. apparntly only Citroen can do this as they need to tell the car that the wheels are bigger so the power steering can compensate and so on...costs £30
  23. you on commision for Rain-X?? you have an unhealthy love for that stuff ;) and yes I do need to get some

    Paint

Like i said before I thought I was pretty anal when washing my car but when I read on the Detailing forum that Welshguy posted that those guys use 2 buckets when washing!! holy moly. I am however going to get some Megs Tech Wax, Gold shampoo and a lambswool mit and take it from there. I reckon a few coats of that will take out the swirls...
  25. Welcome!! I think he means the front wipers as they push water into the edges. Autoglym glass polish is very good as it makes the water bead up and roll up and over the roof. Its not perfect but it clears enough so you can see...
