  1. Thanks paul, I'll feel safer keeping the steel bolts in the boot along with the locknut socket, if i should get a puncture Thanks again
  2. The steel bolts fit the steel spare. I got a tyre fitter to put it on to check it would, it was him who pointed out that the alloy bolts don't go flush in the steel wheel, you can see in photo 2 the alloy bolt not able to drop into the steel wheel.
  3. Sorry 1st is the steel bolt 2nd is the alloy it's the way they were placed in this my post
  4. I have just bought a CITROEN c3 1.2 PURE TECH FEEL 2019 , It came with an inflator foam kit , but i prefer a spare wheel so i bought a full steel wheel & tyre to use as a spare, but i was surprised to see that the alloy bolts on the car can't be fully tightened on to a steel wheel , i had to buy steel bolts from dealer which fit perfectly . see photos, 1st photo alloy bolt not seated properly in my spare steel wheel 2nd steel bolts i had to buy from dealer ( fits flush ) in steel wheel 3rd photo both bolts sitting in my spare steel wheel ( you can see the difference )
  5. Hi paul , iv'e sent away for a piggyback online with the correct blade size ,so i'm confident i should be able to get the dash cam up & running , i mentioned in this post a problem with my spare wheel ,but decided to do a seperate post for that with photos ,
  6. Cheers Paul, I'll get back to you,
  7. Iv'e found some breakout wires which are classed as standard blade & not as regular blade as i first thought ,
  8. I believe the fuse piggyback i'm looking for is a size regular i can't see any online ,
  9. I have been checking the fuses today & in the photo it looks like the middle fuse is live but not used going by the online manual, i'm not used to using the bigger fuses so can i get the bigger piggyback no problem or if i buy the Halfords cable is that the bigger fuse ,thanks,
  10. Paul there is no live fuse spaces on that board , the ones you can see either side of that board are dead . also the air bag switch won't budge , so if i go ahead with the glovebox i'm hopeing there is enough play in the cables
  11. The heavy clusters of cables across the fuse access, make it impossible, that's why I was wondering about takin the glovebox off, I'm a bit worried about that air bag switch that's in the way, if i have enough cable play at the back of the switch.
  12. i think my only option is to remove the glovebox, only thing is there is a passenger air bag switch in the way ,do you think this would be a problem
  13. FOUND the other fuse box they are buried away at the back of the fuse box in the photo , don't think i'll be able to fit a fuse for my dashcam ,looks near impossible ,but we will see ,
  14. there is no spare fuse spaces either end of this fuse box just empty yellow plastic i pulled 1 of the existing fuses & could see shiny metal indicating a connection but nothing like that either end ,there surely must be another fuse box somewhere inside the car, the one i posted in the photo has only 2x10amp 1x30amp 2x40amp ,unless the rest are all under the bonnet ,
  15. thanks paul , i'll try putting the pigyback cable in one of the spares fuses & see if the dashcam will come on .
  16. Sorry Paul my mistake the online manual showed fuses on the right but when I took the cover off to fit dashcam the weren't there, they are on the left at glovebox . There doesn't seem to be many could i fit my dashcam going by this photo
  17. I just found out today that if i got a puncture i would not be able to fit the steel spare wheel i bought with the alloy wheel bolts on my car , due to there shape they won't fully tighten up onto the steel wheel , i had to buy 4 steel wheel bolts , which i will carry in the yellow bag along with the locknut socket ,
  18. Hi Paul.H , found the fuses they are at the opposite side of where they were on my 2013 Vti , they are at the drivers side just a case of pulling away the cover looks a doddle , i've bought a new steele full size wheel & new tyre ,i've still to get the tyre put on , but i put the tyre in to see how it would fit, at first i found it a bit awkward but i realised if i put the back seats forward a little i was able to drop the tyre in at the rear of the car first then drop it into the well , i am going to put the new tyre on the car & use one of the tyres from the car with the t
  19. Hi, i just bought a citroen C3 1.2 pure tech feel 2019 & i have to fit dashcam , can you tell me where the fuse box is , also it came with inflation kit, but i want to get a spare wheel ,would a full spare wheel fit in to the boot recess or do i need to put in a space saver, thanks in advance
  20. that's great news your C5 passed it's M.O.T. i was only charged an extra £ 40 for the bottom sensor to be cleaned & the exhaust to be resealed which was really good , next year i'm thinking of changing my car ,i'm used to the c3s but don't like the cactus models with the plastic that runs along the sides , i fancy the nissan juke but don't know much about them , now that i'm through the mot i have time to think about it .
  21. paul h. good luck with your MOT tomorrow , I took the car for a long run on the motorway & heated the engine just before the 2nd emissions test today but it failed again , to get it to pass the mechanic took the exhaust off to reseal it, he also cleaned the bottom oxygen sensor ,that did the trick , that's me for another year ,
  22. Hi paul , since my last post i removed the very top sensor didn't look too bad a bit of soot, i gave it a blast with carb cleaner the sensor lower down is harder to get at so i just left that , i also put some petrol additive in the petrol expect i'm a bit late doing that , i have been in touch with the garage & have arranged to get it tested right after a long run on monday , will do a few long journeys over the weekend because i only do short journeys mainly,
  23. i have a AUTEL MAXISCAN MS309 reader , but the only information i can get from it is , CODES FOUND 0 OXYGEN SENS MON OK OXYGEN SENS HGR OK EGR SYSTEM OK CATALYST MON .OK would you advise against taking the sensors out to clean them or should i give it a good run before test & hope for the best,
  24. Hi, i took my car for a M.O.T today & it failed for it's emissions the test results show that the actual fast idle test results are higher than the limits, the mechanic said i have to take it back next week & he will try to clean the lambda oxygen sensors , i was wondering if i could do anything to clean them myself to make a difference , would this cure the emissions problem , Citroen C3 1.2 VTi 82 2013
  25. i couldn't put a container under drain plug & oil filter because the under engine tray which was directly below the drain plug & filter was in the way , i had to hold a container between the tray & the drain plug while it was draining, as soon as it stopped dripping i could put the plug back in then do the same with the oil filter , i was worried it would spill onto driveway but only a little spilt .
