Hi guys thanks for all that gave advise I have found half of my cars problem I managed to get my dash lights working there a yellow wire on the electric window switch next to the ashtray connect it to acc surply and a yellow wire at the rear plug of ur BSI unit connect that to ignision surply on goes the dash only problem I have now need to get all my contols working found out that these french cars are born with a VAN vehicle aeria network problem will keep use updated as I progress

Hi I'm Shawn my xsara is doing the same thing when the dash lights come on I can start my car while idling it will exstingwish but my car will still run as long as I don't switch it of lol can u help

Hi can u please tel me how u resolved your fault cause I have the same problem with my xsara just that when I turn on my ignision I have no lights some guys told me it could be my BSI unit

Yes have checked it all also checked all my Ecu pin data and both fuse boxes only pin data I can't check is this darn BSI units pins (who came out with this errotic wirring number colour code system did he work for a tellephone company

Hi I have checked all my fusess and had the bsm replaced if the car sits for a week then it starts like nothing is wrong with no fault codes when its dead nothing works can't even run planet 2000

Hi you can chech your engine management relay and fusess check also your knock sensor unplug it and remove it check with a multimeter if it hase a ohmige reading if all fails invest in a diagnostic tool hope u come right

Hi guys I bought a xsara this cars dash lights are dead so oviusly the car don't start if I leave it for a week with out the battery connected then it starts when its running There's no fault codes at all when its dead nothing works only interior light and clock had the BSM replaced not so sure if it can be the Bsi unit please help
