  1. I have the Diesel version and it has the AL4, I think all of them use the same. The filler plug is on top, about 10 centimeters behind the air filter when standing in front of the car, you need to remove the air filter cover to see it, actually you cannot see it easily. If you raise the air filter assembley (after removing the cover) you will see it from the side. Google Al4 gearbox images to get a better picture.. The drainage is in the bottom, both Filling and drainage plugs are a square 8mm plug (as far as I remember). Please be careful and do not open the bottom plug before you open the top.. Tools needed: 1- MOBIL ATF LT 71141, 4 liters (it is rather expensive) 2- Square socket 8 mm. 3- 5mm or 1/4 inch plastic hose. about 60 cm and preferably transparent. 4- Funnel that fits the plastic hose. Please notice: 1- The AL4 cannot be refilled completely, only partially, the procedure is called partial refill of AL4 GearBox, because you cannot drain all the oil, some oil will stay in the torque converter. 2- The full capacity is 6 liters and you will be able to change 3.2 to 3.6 Liters. 3- The oil needed is MOBIL ATF LT 71141, DO NOT use any thing else.. 4- The oil change operation can be performed between 59 - 69 Degrees Celsius. This needs a Lexia device to tell you the oil temperature. The Oil Change procedure: 1- Drive the car and ensure the oil temperature is between 59 and 69 degrees. 2- Park the car and ensure it is level, If the temperature is higher than 69, wait until it cools and if it is cooler keep the engine running and change gears with foot on the brake and hand brake on. 3- With the temperature around 64, and only after you loosen the upper filling plug (you don't want to end up with an empty gear that you cannot fill) Gear in P position: a- Open the drainage plug using a square 8 mm plug. Remember the oil is on the HOT side b- Insert a 6 mm or 7 mm (I cannot remember) Hex key and unscrew and withdraw the plastic level piece. c- Forget changing the Oil Filter or Pump, it is a big job. d- Once all the oil is out in the pan, quantify it (about 3.6 liter), do what ever you need to get as much oil out as possible. e- Reinsert the plastic level indicator (tighten well, but not over tighten) and replace the drainage plug but tighten loosely (you will know why in a minute). f- Open the Filler plug and fit the plastic hose in the filling hole (it should be a tight fit. g- Fit the funnel to the other end of the hose. h- fill in the new oil, 0.5 liter more that what you took out. i- Start the car and go through the gears slowly. j- When the oil temperature reaches between 59 and 69, and while the engine is running and the gear is in P position. Place a new drain container under the drainage point and reopen the drainage plug. k- The excess oil (0.5 liter) will drain down. When oil stops dripping or when dripping is very light, you can close the plug tight. l- You can close the upper filler plug. You are done .. the whole thing takes about one and half hours, mostly preparation and temperature control. * Please notice that when you add the new oil, temperature will drop down, you need to raise it to the required temperature. * I have seen a number of stupid processes before, this will definitely make it to the top 10. I have done this twice on my car, the first I used the water temperature on the dashboard. I had to repeat it and use the Lexia device to find the real oil temperature. The volume of oil was not the same it was about 130 ml more, use the dropped oil as indicator. Hot parts are bigger and hot oil volume is more which makes the oil raise higher!!!! I don't know if there an other good reason.. I have written this from memory, I hope I did not miss any thing. I think there is an official couple of pages instructions, also there is a guy who left a video in Russian on YouTube (I think it was a Peugeot 407). Good luck, Simple.
  2. Prerequisites: 1- A capable notebook, Windows (32 bit only) XP, 7, 8, 10., DiagBox v7.01/02 ISO and updates 2- Ensure that all files and folders names do NOT include spaces or funny characters, example: “Folder_or_file_5†and not “Folder or file 5â€. 3- If possible, convert all your media to ISO format ensuring the media is laid at the root directory and NOT inside another folder, Example: if you mount the DVD ISO it should be “G:\installation_material.exe†and NOT “G:\ Diagbox\Lexia 3\installation_material.exe†(where G is the arbitrary DVD drive letter). 4- Hard Drive controller MUST be set to Legacy/IDE not AHCI in the BIOS (If installing on the computer). 5- Hard Disk partition type is MBR not GPT (Win 8+) 6- Always run DiagBox as Administrator and/or in Windows XP compatibility mode. Virtual Machine: ^ Install VirtualBox or VMplayer or Hyper-V and the extensions/tools ensuring the following: 1- Ensure that the Hard Disk controller is set to IDE not SCSI. 2- Create a preferably fixed hard drive 20-36GB preferably contiguous, Dynamic also works. (Win XP needs less resources than 10) 3- Connect the Windows ISO through the Settings -> Storage menu. 4- Install VirtualBox Guest Additions or VMWare Tools after installing Windows. Windows Installation: Install a clean (preferably) Windows XP Pro SP3 #, activate it and install the following tools: 1- Install VirtualBox Guest Additions or VMWare Tools after installing Windows if installing on Virtual Machine. 2- Microsoft .NET 3.5 SP1 Framework (needed for DiagBox 7.60+). 3- All necessary drivers (usually covered by the Guest Additions/VMWare Tools) 4- Setup a network adapter 5- Mozilla Firefox 6- Java 6 or 7 (V8.xx uses Java 6-67) 7- 7zip or winrar 8- Virtual Clonedrive (not needed for Virtual Machine) XS Evolution Connection: Connect the Lexia USB interface to the computer so that VirtualBox identifies it: • Click on VirtualBox Settings, USB, add a new USB filter and choose the code representing Lexia interface. VMWare recognises the hardware. • Leave the Lexia interface connected throughout the whole installation process, if Windows asks to look for drivers then just cancel for now. DiagBox Installation: • Disconnect the network cable/connection. • Create a blank file named version.txt and saved to the root directory i.e “C:\version.txt†(This step may not be necessary with newer DiagBox versions). • Mount the DiagBox 7.02 ISO and run the setup, go through the process. At some stage, "new hardware found" message will appear, do not choose to search automatically for drivers, you may cancel it or just manually select the driver that should now be available. • Start DiagBox and when prompted for activation, choose the "manual activation" option, fill-in information as per the provided instructions. DiagBox will start as v7.01. • Reboot the computer and restart DiagBox again, it will run the internet updates (even if not connected to the net) and will open as V7.02. Updates: Install the update package/s as follows: • Please note that after installing each update you will need to reboot the computer then run DiagBox again for the update to be fully installed. At some stage, you may get "New hardware found" wizard again, ignore if already installed. • After DiagnBox v7.02 install v7xx-757 -> 7.57-7.58 -> 7.58-7.62 -> 7.62-7.66 -> (7.66-7.72 if you wish to stay with ISO 639-1) or -> 7.66-7.74 -> 7.74-7.76 -> 7.76-7.82, etc… The latest version of DiagBox is now operational. Connect the XS Evolution interface USB before starting DiagBox *, then the OBDII connector to the OBD-II port on your car, turn the ignition on, and in DiagBox choose your car and work away. Simple. Notes: # Windows should be 32 bit and installed as English US system, languages can be added or changed after installation. - DiagBox v7.01-7.72 uses ISO 639-1 (EN), from V7.74 it uses a combination of 639-1 and 2 Chr$ Locale (en_GB). * DiagBox checks the XS Evolution current Firmware version at start and flashes the APPLI.COM file present in "C:\AWRoot\bin\Launcher" to the device if needed. ^ A Virtual Machine (VM) software is usually used on a computer running Windows 64bit or Linux, with Virtualization capable CPU, 4GB+ RAM and lots of Hard Disk space; the more the merrier. It allows the user to create a virtual computer hardware (choose number of CPUs, amount of RAM and Hard Disk space) in order to install a new operating system and applications on the VM without interfering with system that is running or real computer. (I5 + 4GB RAM + 20GB HD is OK for Win XP 32bit). It can be easily cloned or deleted.
  3. Procedure to Initialize the Citroen BSI (Body Control Module) and Automatic Transmission for Citroen C8 On the Citroen C8 and Peugeot 807 the battery can be dis-connected and reconnected through the driver’s window (with the floor removed). If the battery is under the bonnet, open the bonnet first and leave it up, the car must be in “Unlock†status. Procedure to Initialize the Citroen BSI (body control units) every time the battery is disconnected and reconnected: 1. Ensure no diagnostics tool is connected. 2. Put the driver's window down and ensure all equipment is switched off. 3. Ensure all doors are closed, remove key from the ignition and wait for 3 minutes. 4. Disconnect the vehicle battery and wait 15 seconds. 5. Reconnect the vehicle battery and wait a further 10 seconds (do not open doors). 6. Switch on the side lights through the driver's window (you will hear a "bong"). 7. Switch on the ignition and check system's functionality. 8. Hold lock button on key down for 10 seconds. 9. Remove key, open & close door and test central locking system. 10. Start the engine and complete the system's check. NOTE: Upon re-connection (soft re-boot), if any vehicle function controlled by the BSi (i.e . interior light) is switched on, the internal operation of the BSi has the potential to spike or corrupt its configuration and software program...... Procedure to Reset AL4 Automatic gearbox Resetting the Gear Box can be done when required. This is by performing paddle learning. It is a way to teach the engine to shift up at lower RPM under normal driving style. The Gear Box can be taught to shift gear at around 2.5K or even lower: 1st step Find a flat road more than 3km so that there is enough stretch to teach the gear box. The lesser the traffic and the longer the road the better. 2nd step. Stop the car by the road side. Switch off the engine and all devices/switches/controls that consume electricity, for at least 10 seconds. 3rd step Switch on the ignition (engine off) and step on the accelerator for also at least 10 second. Do nothing else. 4th step Leaving ignition 'ON" release accelerator and step on the brake. While doing this move the gear shifting between P, R, N D, 1,2,3,4,3,2,1, and back to P. pausing momentarily between shifts. Keep repeating this for at least 20 second. 5th step Step on the accelerator for at least 20 second then release. Do nothing else. 6th step With the gear at the P level, 1- Start the engine and drive the car gently/progressively. Don't rush (If you drive it right 2nd gear will engage between 1.8-2k rpm) 2- Keep on moving and watch the RPM, You can stick to 2.5K RPM, The gear will shift up to 3 and 4 at 2.5k although it will take longer time to shift. 3- Just keep on driving for about 10km for the GB to learn the new shifting pattern. When slowing down ,speed up gently so that it will still shift up at around 2.5K. If everything is right you will see gear shift pattern always below 3K and 60km/h cruising at around 1.5k rpm in top gear. Note: Road condition will affect the ***oops*** pattern. It is normal to rise above 3K rpm when climbing hill or accelerating speedily. (Changing to tiptronic will NOT disturb the shifting pattern thereafter) Do this every time the car is serviced as the diagnostics computer will reset the shifting pattern
  4. Does the Engine light up and it would not go until you clear it, if so, it is a fault, if not, then it may be an intermittent fault/alert that you could ignore for a while. The scanner you showed in your post would not have access to data like the XS Evolution (Lexia) would, without a proper diagnostics device or someone who has seen this problem before, it is difficult to tell. p.s. Now that you said it, I also have suspicions that my C8 has sexual tendencies.. may be Citroens like the softer touch..
  5. Procedure to Initialise the Citroen BSI (body control units) This is like a computer reset. 1. Disconnect any diagnostic tool. 2. Put the driver's window down, lift the bonnet and ensure all equipment is switched off. 3. Ensure all doors are closed and remove key from the ignition. 4. Wait for 3 minutes, disconnect the vehicle battery and wait 15 seconds. 5. Reconnect the vehicle battery, wait a further 10 seconds (do not open doors.). 6. Switch on the side lights through the driver's window. 7. Switch on the ignition and check system's functionality. 8. Hold lock button on key down for 10 seconds. 9. Remove key open & close door test central locking system. 10. Start the engine and complete the system's check. Failure to follow this procedure could result in incorrect operation of many BSI related items.
  6. 70,000 miles !!! very unlikely that the DPF needs replacement, unless damaged, which woudln't make sense, since the fault disappears on the second restart... If you have a Lexia (XS Evolution) interface, try a full diagnosis, as per coastline taxis.. and while at it, check all cable connections and fuses... However, If the battery is old, it could show a full (Voltage) charge, but current delivery may be below par.. These cars have a very strange behavior when the battery charge is low, so ensure the battery is FULLY charged, and perform a BSI reset (the procedure is in the forum).
  7. The operating temperature is 90 degrees, taking a long time to reach it is (initially) a sign of faulty thermostat (even if it is new)... However, check your radiator (for deposits) and fans/sensors, water pump (for pressure), the oil level, the water antifreeze mix and level, if all is well, replace the thermostat. 2007 is unlikely to have an electric steering motor or pump.. The pump produces faint buzzing noise, remove the serpentine belt, which operates the steering pump, start the car and you will know what is causing it.. You may need to replace the steering fluid (if dirty) or top it up, the loud buzzing noise could be a result of tiny bubbles in the fluid. Working in the C8 engine bay is "easily" acheived with "great difficulty"!! you haven't seen nothing yet.. However, when all is well, it is a nice comfortable and practical people (and other objects) mover.. While at it, if the car has done more than 60k miles, replace the gear oil, the full grarbox capacity is 6 liters but buy 4 liters because you can only drop 3.xx liters at a time. The type is Mobil Oil LT 71141. Good luck.
  8. It could be the battery as Paul.h says, but it could also be that some moisture crept into the fuse box under the bonnet, near the driver's windscreen wiper. Remove the Fuse box cover and spray the fuse board with water repellent. Perform the BSI reset procedure in both case.
  9. Good man, I actually sorted this some time back, and I did not see anybody posting something similar, I thought it might be deleted and I would be banned. But you guys are some of the kindest on the net, so I took the chance and posted.... You see, I could hve package the solution and made look like a black box.. But I dont do this for living, I do it for love, and I like to empower members by sharing knowledge. Well, I am glad to be positevly disappointed. Engoy the day, Simple. p.s. 10. Upgrade to DiagBox v7.77 (if you have upgraded to 7.76) the file is attached above. Please notice that this is intended for educational and/or experimental purposes and that you perform any or all the below procedures at your own risk. I hold no responsibility for any issue you may face. Procedure (Offline Update): 1- Go to C:\AWRoot\bin\fi\ and create another copy of cashe folder naming it cashe.org. 2- Download the attached "updt_77u.zip" file, Expand it and copy the contents of the updt_77 forder to C:\AWRoot\dtwr\updt\ directly, replacing and overwriting existing files and folders. 3- Run DiagBox, it will start the upgrade process, when it finishes successfully click ok, it will run for the first time and will give 9 or 10 error message, keep clicking ok until DiagBox closes down. 4- Copy the 13 files that start with “fr.actia.AWF.xxxxxxx.dll†from cashe.org into the (empty) C:\AWRoot\bin\fi\cashe\ folder. 5- Run DiagBox and it will run successfully. If you don’t like 7.77 update or you have an issue with it. Run Maitresox’s 7.74 to 7.76 again and it should successfully downgrade it to DiagBox v7.76.
  11. I wrote a proceedure on upgrading DiagBox Version 7.76 to 7.77. Unfortunately users were unable to use Lexia in other than English and PP2000 in other than French. Now I managed to fix that and I have published the procedure on a number of sites. References: http://cartechnology.co.uk/showthread.php?tid=10120 http://www.citroen-owners-club.co.uk/citroen/topic/23088-anybody-found-a-diagnostic-scanner-that-works-on-citroen-c8-22-hdi/ Changing DiagBox, Lexia nd PP2000 Language (tested on v7.76 and v7.77) and this is how to do it: Once again, This is for educational and experimental use, and I hold no responsibility for any improper usage or damage to your system.. For DiagBox: 1- Open the File Explorer and navigate to "C:\AWRoot\dtrd\trans\", find the file "Language.ini" and create a copy "Language.ini.org". Open the file Language.ini and under [LANGUAGE], change "Current=en_GB" to "Current=fr_FR" and save (I commented the original and added the change). [LANGUAGE] ;Current=en_GB Current=fr_FR For Lexia: 2a- Navigate to "C:\APP\LEXIA\EXE\" find the file "langue.ini" and create a copy "langue.ini.org". Open the file "langue.ini" and under [DicoMap], change all "%LG%" to FR (I commented the original 4 lines and added changed 4 lines). [DicoMap] ;CITACT=..\Dico\CITACT%LG%.dbz,APV ;CITTT=..\Dico\CITTT%LG%.dbz,APV ;CITTV=..\Dico\CITTV%LG%.dbz,APV ;THESAU=..\Dico\THESAU%LG%.dbz,APV CITACT=..\Dico\CITACTFR.dbz,APV CITTT=..\Dico\CITTTFR.dbz,APV CITTV=..\Dico\CITTVFR.dbz,APV THESAU=..\Dico\THESAUFR.dbz,APV 2b- Navigate to "C:\APPLIC\LCTLEX3\", find the file "Dico.txt" and create a copy named "Dico.txt.org". Open the file "Dico.txt" and change the line "Dico=THELEXGB.DBZ" to "Dico=THELEXFR.DBZ" ;Dico=THELEXGB.DBZ Dico=THELEXFR.DBZ For PP2000: 3- If you wish to change PP2000, Navigate to "C:\APP\OutilRep\exe\", find the file "Dico.txt" and create a copy named "Dico.txt.org". Open the file "Dico.txt" and change the line "Dico=THESAUFR.DBZ" to "Dico=THESAU**.DBZ", where ** is any of the 20 available languages Please notice that English=GB, French=FR and German=AL (French naming not unicode). There are other incidents of "en_GB" that I changed to "fr_FR" in my installation. But I think the above is enough to get you working, you can find them in the INI and few java files.... You can also use a script to blanket change "en_GB" to "fr_FR" but be careful, because some listing are definitions for language codepages like Arabic or German etc.., and other coding is non-unicode/standard. But if you dont care and other languages are not needed, you could have a go (make backups of the files before touching them). Enjoy the Multilingual version of DiagBox 7.xx Simple.updt_77u.zip
  12. I am not aware if it is adjustable through software, I don't think it is.. When did you change the oil??? Check the transmission fluid (oil) quality and level, if it is dark change it, if it smells burnt... well.. this could indicate issues.. Good luck.
  13. You can clear faults only after reading them (to give you the chance to store fault list).. You may fail to clear some faults; check fuses, connectors, ignition on, etc... or it could be DiagBox software (shaky installation) issue; (downgrade to DiagBox 7.57 or/and manually flash Firmware 4.2.4 to verify) or Lexia hardware issue. Do not allow suspect issues waste your time, some fault reports are not decisive... It could take long time until you find the real reason for a fault and changing the wrong parts is also costly. p.s. You have not posted photos of your boards!!
  14. It is nice to hear all is well, As long as you do NOT attempt to change/delete configuration you will NOT break your ECU.. I would save all errors, then I would clear all of them... then after a couple of days/weeks or so, I would check again and compare... Permanent faults indicate faulty sensor or component. Intermittent faults indicate, erroneous sensor, loose connection.. etc.. I am glad it worked and in your opinion, worth it.. p.s. The reason for the missing files is unknown in your case. I would still reinstall Windows and DiagBox, because if your original source is virus infected or damaged, it will only get worse after a while and it could cause erroneous data passed to the ECU.
  15. To make things easy: 1- In the Notebook BIOS set the Hard Disk Controller to Legacy. 2- Download a proper Windows XP SP3 ISO and burn it to a USB stick or a CD.. 3- Install Windows XP (do not download Windows updates, not needed). Follow the DiagBox installation manual: For DiagBox 7.xx, you can use your name or any other name, but if you have had the previous failures on the same Windows XP installation, I would strongly advise you to use "DBCleaner v101a" making sure you run it as Administrator. If your notebook currently runs Windows XP 32 bit, you can install Evolution XS (Lexia) applications directly on it. However, many of the currently available notebooks are unlikely to come with Windows XP; in which case the best way would be to shrink your last partition by about 40 GB and create a new partition to install windows XP 32 bit on it, then the Lexia application. Nevertheless, you can run Windows XP (and many other operating systems) within a Virtual Machine installed on your current notebook’s OS; luckily, they are mostly free and readily available. I have tried both methodologies and both work well, I have preference to the Virtual Machine because I still have access to my other operating system (in fact I am writing this whilst performing another test). One can also change the amount of memory (RAM) or computation power (CPU) as need be, you can clone it, and if you do not like it, you can delete it. Let’s Start: Ensure that all files and folders names do NOT include spaces or funny characters, example: “Folder_1or_file_5†and not “Folder 1 or file 5â€. If possible, convert all your media to ISO format ensuring the media is laid at the root directory and NOT inside another folder, Example: if you mount the DVD ISO it should be “G:\installation_material†and NOT “G:\Lexia 3\Diagbox\installation material†(where G is the arbitrary DVD drive letter). 1- Install VirtualBox, the Extensions and Guest Additions, ensuring the following: a) The Hard Drive controller must be IDE. B) Create a preferably fixed hard drive more than 24GB. Dynamic also works. c) Connect the Windows ISO through the Settings -> Storage -> Optical Drive. 2- Install a clean Windows XP Pro SP3 and activate it and install the following tools: a) All necessary drivers. B) Setup a network adaptor c) Install Mozilla Firefox d) Java 7 e) Winrar or 7zip f) Virtual Clonedrive (not needed for VirtualBox) 3- Connect the Lexia USB interface to the computer so that VirtualBox identifies it: 1. Click on VirtualBox Settings, USB, Add a new USB filter and choose the code representing Lexia interface. 2. Leave the Lexia interface connected throughout the whole installation process, if Windows asks to look for drivers then just cancel for now. 4. Disconnect the network cable. 5. Create a blank file named version.txt in C:\ i.e “C:\version.txt†(This step may not be necessary with newer DiagBox versions). 6. Mount the DiagBox 7.02 ISO and run the setup, go through the process. At some stage, "new hardware found" window will appear, do not choose to search automatically for drivers, you may cancel it or just manually select the driver that should now be available. 7. Once done, start DiagBox and when prompted for activation, choose the "manual activation" option, fill-in information as per the provided instructions, usually (Customer Code, Address, Post Code and Car Phone) you can enter any characters or numbers. 8. Start DiagBox again it will run the update for 7.02. 9. Install the update package/s – I prefer the 7.xx to 7.57. Please note after installing the update you will need to reboot then run DiagBox for the update to be fully installed. At some stage, the drivers may install (if not already installed) where you will get "New hardware found" wizard again. 10. DiagBox (the latest version installed) is now operational. Connect the USB interface to the OBD-II port on your car, turn on the ignition, and in DiagBox choose your car, insert your RPO and work away.
  16. First: I did not get enough information on your hardware, is it a laptop, what make and model, what size is the RAM and Hard Disk, How did you setup the BIOS, is it AHCI or legacy??? and did you format the disk or create a partition... Also, I did not get much about your Windows XP installation other than 32bit... Did you install .NET 3.5, did you install Java, what other preparation did you perform? WRT Application, we are not there yet.. I see that you got the A.1281 Z, I was hoping to see clear pictures of both sides of the two boards inside... The message you got indicates a problem with your Windows installation... However, I will start from the end.... Your installation of Windows XP is suspect (I mean corrupt).. I would reinstall from a new source. Please read you Private Mail. Try find: 1- This CD: "en_windows_xp_professional_sp3_x86_cd_x14-80428.iso" 2- This tool: https://rufus.akeo.ie/downloads/rufus.exe Make sure your BIOS is setup correctly. Insert a USB sick 1GB or larger or a CD. Run Rufus.exe, click on "Select an image" and point it to the WIN XP downloaded ISO and burn it on USB stick or a CD, install from it... Or, you could attempt to repair it by reading on.. Cause: This issue may occur if one or more of the following files are missing or damaged: •Config.nt •Autoexec.nt •Command.com Resolution: Method 1 1.Insert the CD into the CD drive or DVD drive. 2.Click Start, and then click Run. 3.In the Open box, type cmd, and then click OK. 4.At the command prompt, type the following commands, pressing ENTER after each command: expand CD-ROM Drive Letter:\i386\config.nt_ c:\windows\system32\config.nt expand CD-ROM Drive Letter:\i386\autoexec.nt_ c:\windows\system32\autoexec.nt expand CD-ROM Drive Letter:\i386\command.co_ c:\windows\system32\command.com exit 5.Start or install the program. If the issue is resolved, do not complete the remaining steps. If the issue is not resolved, go to the next step. 6.Note: The Command.com file is not edited or created in the following process. Because of this, you may have to expand it from your Windows XP CD-ROM. Start Notepad. 7.In Notepad, type the following entries: dos=high, umb device=%SYSTEMROOT%\system32\himem.sys files=40 8.On the File menu, click Save As. 9.In the File Name box, type Config.nt, and then click Save. Close the Config.nt file. 10.On the File menu, click New. 11.In the new blank document, type the following entries: @echo off lh %SYSTEMROOT%\system32\mscdexnt.exe lh %SYSTEMROOT%\system32\redir lh %SYSTEMROOT%\system32\dosx SET BLASTER=A220 I5 D1 P330 T3 12.On the File menu, click Save As. 13.In the File Name box, type Autoexec.nt, and then click Save. Close the Autoexec.nt file. 14.Start Windows Explorer. Locate the Config.nt file, right-click the Config.nt file, and then click Copy. 15.Right-click the %SYSTEMROOT%\System32 folder, and then click Paste. 16.Locate the Autoexec.nt file, right-click the Autoexec.nt file, and then click Copy. 17.Right-click the %SYSTEMROOT%\System32 folder, and then click Paste. 18.Locate the Command.com file, right-click the expanded Command.com file, and then click Copy. 19.Right-click the %SYSTEMROOT%\System32 folder, and then click Paste. Restart your computer. If the issue continues to occur, copy the Autoexec.nt and Config.nt files from the Repair folder in Windows to the System folder. To do so, follow these steps: 1.Click Start, click Run, type c:\windows\repair, and then click OK. 2.Right-click Autoexec.nt, and then click Copy. 3.Click Start, click Run, type c:\windows\system32, and then click OK. 4.Right-click anywhere in that folder, and then click Paste. 5.Right-click the Autoexec.nt file that you just copied, and then click Properties. 6.Click to select Read-Only, and then click OK. 7.Repeat steps 1 through 6 to copy the Config.nt file. 17. To attach a photo easily click on "More Reply Options" then click on "Attach Files" on the bottom left corner and attach the photo as a file. I regret I cannot read the photo you attached, it is too small. Please list details of your hard ware platform and setup, Operating system (which Windows XP or 7 and 32bit or 64bit) and what did you configure when installing DiagBox. Please list everything... I cannot see Lexia in the attached photo!!!!! Did you also open it to see what you have received is actually the Full Chip?
  18. I looked deep and long in my crystal ball and saw that two of the three legged plastic seat holding the motor assembly that controls the back wiper are broken. If you open the cover of the back door I think it is 4 screws and 2 holding the handle, you will see what I described. Now, don't bother about epoxy, children are epoxy resistant, it will break again as long as there are people who bang the tailgate shut.... What you need to do is to cut a metal sheet 1mm thick, shape it to cover the holders base and to have wings to wrap around areas for hold, drill three holes for the screws to go through, use tie wrappers to affix the motor body to plate.. I had the same problem, and it was not pleasant taking the tailgate apart twice to fix it (using different types of glues).. So I am telling you what has worked..
  19. Start Notebook, Connect Evolution xs (Lexia) to notebook USB (you should hear a bong and the device driver should appear in the device manager) and CAR OBDII. Start DiagBox, Click brand (Citroen or Peugeot), Ignition ON Choose car and click model, (You will hear a click from the dashboard and the VIN will appear, just confirm). Now, when you choose Diagnosis, it will ask you for the RPO, it is 4 number digits within a code on the drivers door. below the tyre pressure, the second from the buttom, and for the year 2003 it should be between 9550 and 9914.
  20. I cleaned it myself. Taking it out of the car looks more difficult than it actually is, then you separate the two parts (one is a catalyst and the other is the DPF). I went to the petrol station where they have a powerful jet and sprayed it clean, I washed both parts inside out, they were filthy. Then reassembled it and replaced it back. The whole thing took 3 - 4 hours, but it was great experience to my children, I don't think anyone would have put the effort we did. I cost a couple of Euros. You can use the Lexia to regenerate the DPF, which is easy and it takes all in all 10 minutes.
  21. When reporting an error message, please describe your hardware and software platform, i.e. Type of notebook, RAM, Hard disk, which Windows and 32 or 64 bit and any other information...
  22. Please find attached the cleaner, Rename the PDF file to RAR and expand it.. Run it as administrator. You can download the files from here: https://mega.nz/#F!PA9DiCqY!iHwCKwBv5kIzcshgYc6PeA You will install 7.01 first. Upon reboot and starting Diagbox, it will update to 7.02. Reboot again and run: DiagBox 7.xx - 7.57 then start DiagBox Reboot again and run: DiagBox 7.57 - 7.58 then start DiagBox Reboot again and run: DiagBox 7.58 - 7.62 then start DiagBox Reboot again and run: DiagBox 7.62 - 7.66 then start DiagBox Reboot again and run: DiagBox 7.66 - 7.74 then start DiagBox Reboot again and run: DiagBox 7.74 - 7.76 then start DiagBox Proceure for DiagBox 7.76 - 7.77 http://cartechnology.co.uk/showthread.php?tid=10120 I advise that you stop at 7.62 it is a good and stable release. DBCleaner v101a.pdf
  23. Don't Worry, You will be fine, Please read the below: The below is a write up I published sometime back on a forum in October 2014. For DiagBox 7.xx, you can use your name or any other name, but if you have had the previous failures on the same Windows XP installation, I would strongly advise you to use "DBCleaner v101a" making sure you run it as Administrator. If your notebook currently runs Windows XP 32 bit, you can install Lexia applications directly on it.
  24. @mofazhasan, What are you describing are the signs of BSI erroneous behavior. Please follow the BSI reset procedure I told you in the other post... Also, clean the connectors at the bottom of the doors and the pillars. Good luck, Simple.
  25. I had the same issue with respect to the washer pipe, but other than soaking the inside of the car and the back windows was not being washed, it did not affect the tailgate, the parking sensor, or the lights in my case.. The black box you mention is the control unit for the parking sensors. If there is no rust, spray all harnesses an connecters with water repellant (WD40 or something similar), it is the leakage between the connector pins (due to minerals) that you need to ensure is not happening.. If leakage was the reason and looms and connectors are clean, it should work once dried. p.s. I also had water leakage inside the tailgate, a cut in the pipe where it fits into the motor assembly, due to the plastic legs/holders of the washer motor assembly being broken (children banging the tailgate), and no amount of hard Epoxy could fix it long term.. I had to fabricate a metal plate to hold the assembly in position. You may wish to check that!!
