Read all the replies on crankshaft pullies, does this apply to all HDI's? My story: Have a 52 plate C5 110 HDI that only done 52000. A few months ago i got a rattle from the belt area on tickover and especially when cold. Had air-con recharged as was of very little use, still there. Changed idler tensioner, still there. I have now been convinced it's the crankshaft pully! Bought siad pulley from GSF, good price and looks the business. Cars in my garage stripped apart and the pulley is totally differant. Mine is a basic pulley with nothing in the centre, looks like there never has been anything in the centre. GSF pulley is heavy with loads of weights etc. anybody else come across this? Thanks for any help1
