Sounds to me like egr valve. Mine did exactly the same. Wouldn't rev up past 2k and lots of smoke. But obviously if you just had the belt done then it starts ringing alarm bells

Hi all, I've got an issue with my dispatch. Was black smoking when hard accelerating and I was getting a boost to high fault putting it into limp mode. I've had new egr, new map, new maf and new boost solenoid. Still black smokes. It's not really heavy but constant black cloud when you put your boot down. The boost issue was fixed by adjusting the actuator and now I don't get limp mode anymore. Any ideas please??
