Hi.. I have a C4 VTR+ 1.6D. 05reg When turning right i get a Clunking banging sound coming from the passenger side floor area..? Now my obvious thoughs were..Damn CV Joint gone.. :) now i know that over the years you usually get a sign..like a leaking Gator or similar..? So i get the big silly plastic sound proof panel thingy off under the car..But no obvious signs of leakage and all is dry. I have checked other area's for anything loose and all seems fine... .. So..has anyone else experienced this with their C4.....? ....

Hi. Has anyone bought a replacement air filter for their Diesel 1.6 recently and can point me in the right direction as to where they bought from and how much...? .. Thanks in advance... :rolleyes: .

Hi. Can anyone point me in the direction of the Oil Filter on a C4 Diesel 1.6 VTR+... ;) Its my 1st attempt at an oil change on a diesel..i have always had the old cannister type filter that you whack a big screwdriver through and turn.. ;) anyway after spending half an hour removing the big plastic tray and jacking up i slid under for a nosey... :rolleyes: Could'nt see it... :lol: .. So....I know its there somewhere...But where..? .. Thanx in advance... B) .

I drive a C4 1.6 HDI and was given an 07 with Flappy paddle sticks while mine was in for a minor fault..(Again).. :P Well..I was quite lookin forward to trying it out. But after 10 miles i was just so glad i had a Manual.. ;) The Auto Gear box was an absolute joke..jerking me back and forth like a Nodding dog... :blink: .. Was i glad to get my car back.... :) Egs was like going back in time to when the Auto box was first invented. Yuk and double Yuk...! ..

Listen up... :rolleyes: .. Summer is just around the corner and the ol Girl has had her eyes on a convertible for the Summer.... B) :o So iv'e been trowling the Intraweb for a nice little Rag Top..! I have got me eye on a couple of candidates...But i got to thinking.... :huh: wait for it......wait for it......??? Chopping the Top off the C4...... :huh: Well....Wots thee reckon...? What do you think it would look like..? So....if there's any good Photo shoppers out there that could post a few pics of such a creation then get busy.... :rolleyes: :mellow: Your thoughts peeps.....? Are there any companies out there that would take on such a job..? A C4 Rag Top....mmmmmmmmmm Yes/No .. Inccy..... It would seem that we are only covered for the first 12,000 miles as far as Discs and Pads are concerned....? Unless.....They can prove a Manafacturing defect..... :blink: ... Oh well...at least i'll know what to ask my next main dealer before i buy.... :rolleyes: ...

I have driven hard my old Mini Cooper look-a-likey.. :blink: My old Renault gordini and numerous other vehicles into the ground over the years and have suffered Gear box failures, Worn out engines. Broken sub frames and god knows what else...?? ok..i'm not so young now... :blink: all grown up with a family and a family sized car..You see where i'm going on this..? Warped Discs after 19.000 miles...I dont think so.... :angry: ... Right i'm gonna turn back the clock and get me an old Knacker to run into the ground..Just like the good ol days..... :lol: :lol: ... C4 HDI 1.6 110 BHP VTR+ Arctic Steel in Beautiful condition with 2 new shiny disks...anyone.... ;) Will consider Mini Cooper in part ex..... :rolleyes: ... Yes i agree with that too, i was always taught to use the Hand brake and it kinda stays with you..? I just think on this occasion they are being a little under hand with me especially as i stated earlier that i have just covered 19.000 miles.. ;) I guess i'll just have to Cough up... :lol: ....

19.000 miles on the clock.... ;) We also have a punto that we use more than the C4 and has 47.000 miles under its belt....No Warping there....? ...

I took a trip to my Main Dealers today to investigate my Brake judder problem which has progressively got worse over the last few weeks. It seems i have Warped front Discs.. ;) "Thats just £275 sir.... :lol: It seems its not covered under Warranty on my 05 VTR+... :lol: Now i have never really had a problem with my Dealers before and what little probs i have had have all been put right with minimum fuss, I have a 2nd service due very soon and i aint gonna get much change out of £200..I could of done without this right now.... :lol: .... Anyone else had similar with their C4's......???? .... Mark. ...

I have a 1.6 HDI VTR+ that does just that...! I have always put it down to a "3rd gear Overboost"..! To be honest i coud'nt live without it... :) If it is'nt normal then i dont want mine fixed... :) ....... <_<

I had my 2 near side Doors fixed last week..(Handles sticking open) It was in for a new Heat shield and i happened to mention it.They fixed there and then 20mins max..No big deal..! .. Our on board Comp always warned us if any door was open so we never drove until it was put back in, Yes a little inconvenient..but no big whoop..!!! .. You have to rememer its a relatively new Model..Things always get sorted in the end. So far i have been back to the Dealer 6 times for niggles, Every little correction and Modification to my C4 makes me feel like i have a Bloody good bit of kit around me..... :) ..
