Guest nhmotion Posted March 26, 2011 Posted March 26, 2011 Hi I am a new C3 owner and female driver with a couple of warning light problems.Firstly the brake warning light comes on after a while driving along with no speedo, no trip computer reading (including no mileage increments), no power steering and no temperature gauge. When you switch off at the ignition then switch back on the battery indicator stays lit and won't start. After around the 4th attempt it starts. Then the cycle starts again. Bemused - can anyone advise?Model - C3 XTR 1.4 HDI '04. Quote

Guest nhmotion Posted March 28, 2011 Posted March 28, 2011 Thanks for the info. Most of the time the car works fine but now seems to be getting worse. I'll have a look at the fuses - it's a start. Quote
Guest CitTone Posted April 4, 2011 Posted April 4, 2011 Perhaps a naive suggestion but, as the warning is about battery condition, have you had the battery, or the main connections to it, checked? The sort of problems all sound pretty much like a matter of a failing battery, poor connection integrity, or a main earth connection getting loose or corroded - especially as you say that the problem is getting worse with time. Guest nhmotion Posted April 12, 2011 Posted April 12, 2011 Fault getting worse but managed to fiddle with a couple of fuses/connectors in the internal fusebox which seems to clear the fault each time. Anyone have any idea/information on what these fuses do and is this module repairable, ie solder joints etc Quote
