Please can any body tell me what lead i need to remap my c5 2.0L hdi 2004, I bought some software from ebay for remaping/tuning my car the software is kwp2000+ the remap file for my car, i have got a lead that i bought 2 years ago for my c5 2.0L hdi 2002, but i only used it to read codes/reset with easyobd software, I can do that with my 2004 car,but it will not do the remaping, I was told you need a diferant lead for remaping/tuning the car. The info on my lead says> OBD DIAGNOSTIC INTERFACE MULTI-PROTOCOL USB VERSION EOBD,OBD,CAN ROHS COMPLIANT and OBD2, if any body can point me to the wright lead or tell me what to do i will be very very greatfull and many thanks to all that reply. i have bean at it now for 2 weeks constant google etc etc etc and ebay.

Thankyou to all that reply.

Hi

I don't know what you are going to remap in your ECU but I am about to 'de-FAP' my C5, see here for more details:

As far as I can see all you need is a Galletto cable(loads on ebay, just see the description for your car type) and some software called ECUSAFE. I bought both these from ebay. I've not done the job yet as I'm trying to find a mechanic that'll take the FAP off for me. I'll do the remapping as I don't think it's too difficult.

To recap, I reckon all you need is a Galletto cable.

Also, I found this site:

They do software that flashes ECUs and it's free. Not sure what ECU types and cables they support but it's worth investigating. I think there are some demos on youtube.

DFB.

many thanks for the info, my c5 2004 dos not have a fap on it, but i will look into the other software and give it a go, i will report back if it works or not, not sure it if works with standard obd1/2 leads, it may only work with it`s own interface, the same with kwp2000 i think that only works with it`s own interface, i have run the kwp2000 with 2 differant leads and not one has worked, or it could be my ecu is a bosch c16 and not the c15, but i am still looking in to this.
