C3 Auto 2002 Battery Light Comes On.

I have a 2002 C3 Auto.

 

Has run well,no problems.

Car on journey, battery light comes on and car stops. 2 minutes later car starts and is fine.

First time.

Suggestions please.

Never had this happen but initial thoughts are possibly a faulty ignition switch or loose battery connection. Also have a look for loose connections under the bonnet. Is the ignition key turning slightly such as from a lot of other things on the key ring (noted from a post by kfk as a possible cause of cutting out).

Tightened the battery connection and no more problems. However in my other post another problem!
