syrup Posted May 24, 2006 Posted May 24, 2006 When does your clutch start to bite? People have commented mine seems quite high. I thought this when I first got it but now I am used to it. How firm is your ignition key in the open position? there is hardly any resistance before pushing the button in on mine to close it. Quote
wozza Posted May 24, 2006 Posted May 24, 2006 Apparently my clutch bites quite high up as well according to a couple mates that drove it. But I just think its normal. Doesnt seem much higher than what my Clio was. Just one of those things between cars there all different no 2 are alike. Quote
syrup Posted May 24, 2006 Author Posted May 24, 2006 wozza What about your key. (see my original post) Quote
wozza Posted May 24, 2006 Posted May 24, 2006 Wouldnt have a clue without going out to the car to be honest never really paid attention. I stick the key in and thats about it lol. Quote
Welshguy Posted May 24, 2006 Posted May 24, 2006 Erm...clutch is quite high yeah - my brother has an Ibiza and that has a very low biting point. As for the key...dont quite know what you mean - but I know the key annoys me now as it tends to shake around when going over bumps etc. :D Quote
syrup Posted May 24, 2006 Author Posted May 24, 2006 Regarding the key. When it is open it's quite easy to close it without depressing the button (which shouldn't be done), whereas my friends keys (not C4) are quite firm and almost impossible to close without depressing the button. Hope I've made myself clear. Quote
wozza Posted May 24, 2006 Posted May 24, 2006 Oh i got ya now i thought you meant something to do with when the key is in the ignition since you said ignition earlier. Yeah mine can be put back in without pressing the button doesnt really matter as it doesnt open up without me pressing it again to open it though. When it was new it was a little harder but now not so. Quote
syrup Posted May 24, 2006 Author Posted May 24, 2006 Thanks wozza I didn't make it very clear. Any news regarding your spoiler? Quote
wozza Posted May 24, 2006 Posted May 24, 2006 Dropped it off in one of these little back street bodyshops which was recommended to me. And £60 isnt bad for it to be repaired and resprayed I didnt think. Was funny though he looked a bit confused when he said he was gonna get the colour code off my car and i said my cars red hwile he was holding the black spoiler. Didnt realise they came like that..
