pinheadplanet Posted June 15, 2013 Posted June 15, 2013 Hi, Just bought a 2008 C5 Exclusive which has a tel button on the steering wheel, yet when i press it it says 'No Mobile Connected' on the display and I can't find anywhere in the menus to 'pair' my phone. Do all C5's come with Bluetooth? I would have thought (bl**dy well hoped) so! Thanks Quote
paul.h Posted June 15, 2013 Posted June 15, 2013 The car handbook tells you how to twin the phone to the car. If it is the latest model of C5, if you do not have the handbook you can see it on the service.citroen website documentation de bord, select language then your car. Look under audio equipment then bluetooth. It says to have the car ignition on but engine not running, bluetooth selected on the phone, select Citroen on it and enter a validation code 1234. There are some other bits to it. Quote
Randombloke Posted June 15, 2013 Posted June 15, 2013 It seems like Bluetooth is an optional extra with the 2008 -> C5. Mine has the same problem, but interestingly despite the manual saying that particular model of radio is Bluetooth capable, there is no Bluetooth menu on the small orange LCD screen. Options seem to be to get Citroen to retro fit it (quoted £400) or to fit a Bluetooth and USB box from the Dension rage - http://www.dension.com/sites/default/files/car-compatibility/citroen-12-10-12.pdf for cars supported. My car is fitted with this head unit:http://shop.dension.com/headpictures/citroen_rd4_2.pngAllegedly this unit will interface with the car including steering wheel controls: http://www.dension.com/product/gateway-pro-bt and this is what it looks like: http://shop.dension.com/images/transp.gifhttp://www.dension.com/sites/default/files/imagecache/comp-select/6048.jpg Does your car have sensing tyre valves fitted? This is a long shot..... I'm trying to solve this problem too... Quote
pinheadplanet Posted June 19, 2013 Author Posted June 19, 2013 That's the head unit I have. And yes my car does have tyre pressure sensors. ??? Quote
qman3428 Posted June 20, 2013 Posted June 20, 2013 That is the head unit I have in my car, the main dealer assures me I need a replacement head unit to connect to bluetooth. Quote
Randombloke Posted June 22, 2013 Posted June 22, 2013 That's the head unit I have. And yes my car does have tyre pressure sensors. ??? That's useful to know. I wondered whether there was a combined Bluetooth and Tyre sensor receiver that could be unplugged. Obviousl;y from your reply, there isn't. My car has no TPMS, but may have been supplied with it. I will have to contact the original dealer. That is the head unit I have in my car, the main dealer assures me I need a replacement head unit to connect to bluetooth. Have you got a model number or costs? Do you have any other info from your dealer? I've looked at the Dension brochure and it seems that their Bluetooth unit, which also offers USB and music streaming wirelessly, will plug into the CD changer plug on the rear of the head unit. This would allow a tablet like a Nexus 7/Asus Fonepad to stream music, run Google Maps and do all other manner of things and be used elsewhere, too. I was looking at mounting the Nexus 7 in the car then using this as a GPS/Jukebox with a SIM from 3. If it's simply a matter of getting a better head unit, that would be a good road to go down. I assume the new head unit will have to be coded into the car. Quote
