Hi, all.

I have recently found this site and registered today. My concern is a rattle that I thought was inside driver's door, but am convinced now that it is in the area around the top seat belt mount.

Reading some of the posts I notice this has been noted, and sounds like a big job to rectify. My car is a 52 reg LX hDI version, just purchased from Citroen main dealer. Please could someone let me know what the fix involves, so at least I have insight to problem prior to visit to dealer. Regards, Colin.

The fix for me only took about an hour...they renewed rivets and put some mastic in...I know some members had the head lining removed, but it's better to have it rectified than put up with it.

Badlass,

Thanks for this, but could you give a little more detail of what is actually required, where are these rivets you had replaced? Regards, Colin

As I wasn't there I'm not entirely sure where but I believe they were around the roof and pillar adjoin. Whatever they did it rectified it...Why don't you ask your garage what they intend to do to fix it??

Hi, Badlass,

Have spoken to the dealer, and they are going to sort it out next Tuesday. Apparently one of their fitters is well versed with this problem, and will sort it out while I wait. Thanks for your help. Colin.

The car was returned to selling dealer, and after disappearing into their workshop for 45 minutes, re-emerged totally rattle free, Bliss!

Thanks to Wyatts of Lymington for this. Regards, Colin. :o
