I have just acquired a c-crosser, it is 4 years old.

Having just driven it 480Km from the dealer I find that the Trip computer is not working. Pressing the "info" button does nothing.

As I am resident in Spain any assistance/suggestions will help as there is a language barrier.

Welcome to the forum.

Using the button on the end of the wiper stalk on Citroens usually changes the trip computer screen between current mpg, average mpg since the last reset, miles left in the fuel tank at the current mpg, distance since the last reset. It will be km if selected using the radio menu. Holding the button in will reset all the values to zero. Once 9999 km (6214 miles) is reached the distance does not go any higher since an extra digit would be needed and the reset should be used.

You can see/copy/print/save the handbook from the service.citroen/ddb site and select your language. Printing will be in sections so could take some time.

Thanks for the response, The Crosser has a dedicated "Info" button I guess of a similar function to the end of stalk button on other models. Being an ex Airbus engineer (now retired) I am contemplating disconnecting the battery to remove power and effectivly carrying out a reset, does anyone think this a bad move ?

It is worth a try but do not do it too quickly since time has to be allowed for the bsi to shut down or you can get odd electrical problems - there is a procedure in the C5 Technical section Common Problems pinned topic to use.

Hi again, that didn't work but it's importance has been overtaken by events. The Gearbox (6 spd Auto) has failed, constantly jumping out of gear. I'm not unduly worried as it is under warranty however it has now been to a Citroen main dealer and an Auto bo specialist company (they do nothing else and are English run) and they have both told me that the box is non-repairable just replace. Now this is mega expensive but I would like confirmation if possible. The English specialist told me that he thought the clutches might be replaceable but that is all. Any thoughts would be welcome, particularly from Europe.
