Hi all my DPF light came on at weekend so i added DPF cleaner to diesel tank and followed instructions on the bottle. Car has always ran well never sluggish or any power loss. The light still stayed on. I took it to my local mechanic who supplied me with the cleaner and he then put a cleaner through the actual DPF and took it a run and he said there was alot of black stuff came out exhaust a short while after he took it up road, but light stayed on. He ran it through his diagnostic machine and it reported 1 error code and he reset it and tried it again and it came up as clear no error codes. Still no joy light stayed on.

He took it to a mates garage who has a snap-on diagnostic machine and there are still no error codes coming up. He did a full regeneration but still no joy the light wont go off. He said if i take it to a Citroen dealer they will do all the things he has done only more expensive!!!!!

Does anyone have any solutions to my problem???

Welcome to the forum.

If the dpf warning light is on, then rather than a blocked dpf it could be a fault with the dpf pressure sensor or its pipe connections to the dpf. A quick search suggests these sensors may be prone to failure. To check it you need to either replace it (possibly £30) or connect up a diagnostic tool and see what pressure it is giving. If the tools already used can not do this then you will need to use the Citroen dealer tool Lexia or Chinese copies are available to install on a lap top. This might be the sensor but you should check the part no. using your VIN https://www.ukpartsdirect.com/dpf-products/dpf-differential-pressure-sensors/citroen-dpf-sensors/dpf-sensor-56.html

Some people remove the dpf and water jet it to clean the ash out that builds up but I am not sure how good an internal chemical clean would be without removing it.
