mr kurupt Posted December 23, 2006 Posted December 23, 2006 My ax can't go over 2000 rpm when on the move so it strugles to go up hills and picks up speed very slowly. When on stand still i can rev the car like normal the problem is only when the car is moving. I changed the coil pack a couple of months ago because the car wouldn't fire up at all so not sure if the problem could be the coil pack again. The only thing i've changed so far is the spark plugs but no luck. One other thing i've noticed is that the the car is drinking slightly more petrol than normal. Any ideas and help would be much apreciated. Thanks. Quote
mr kurupt Posted December 24, 2006 Author Posted December 24, 2006 I forgot to say that the model ax i have is a 1.0L L reg registration. Quote

truemouse Posted January 5, 2007 Posted January 5, 2007 This is going to sound brain-dead, but have you checked all linkages from pedal to carb? Check to see that the pedal moves the butterfly from fully closed to fully open. Sometimes stuff simply slips. Quote
mr kurupt Posted January 16, 2007 Author Posted January 16, 2007 HiI managed to sort out the problem it was the fuel filter i changed this and the cars back to normal again now. Quote
Guest john64 Posted February 6, 2008 Posted February 6, 2008 HiI managed to sort out the problem it was the fuel filter i changed this and the cars back to normal again now. we had a similar problem when the car was on the move it was very hesitant - turned out to be the plug leads , as from memory it has a 90degree bend in it and after time the insulation broke down.
