Raddish Posted March 5, 2007 Posted March 5, 2007 Hi,I've had my 1998 Xantia 2.1TD Exclusive off the road since mid Jan, and started it up yesterday to replace an ABS sensor on a rear wheel. I put the suspension to it's highest setting, and waited til it had risen, then turned the engine off and got down to put the jack underneath. This is when I noticed a puddle of LHM on the ground under the engine bay...I started the engine up again to see if I could see any dripping with the engine running, and when I looked, LHM was pouring out from the engine bay above the passenger side wheel, and dripping down all the steering linkages. Is this as serious as it seems? Does anyone have a clue what might be causing this?I have noticed a distinctive green LHM puddle on top of the reservoir... Quote
Johndouglas Posted March 6, 2007 Posted March 6, 2007 I used to own a 1998 2.1 Xantia and this very thing happened to mine. It turned out to be the anti-sink valve leaking. It's about £50 to replace. Remove the battery and you'll see it underneath with five pipes leading into it. To remove it you'll also need to work from below. Quote
