Foxeye Posted May 2, 2007 Posted May 2, 2007 Hi All, Just an observation. Has anyone had the Automatic Wipers throw a complete wobbler when there is hardly any rain on the windscreen ie max speed and then when it gets to the point where you have to manually do a wipe they still haven't wiped? Wor lass is getting really annoyed with them! HAHAHAHA :( (She is the owner and drives it everyday, I only get to play with it on weekends, I have to use the SuperTram, its not fair!!) :( I have cleaned the windscreen with Autoglym and have not had any rain since so not sure if it has fixed the problem of dirt on the sensor area. Maybe new wipers are in order? See ya. Quote
Stuey Posted May 2, 2007 Posted May 2, 2007 its a common observation that they are a bit tempremental going like crazy things in drizzle and not going in showers... Quote
Scarbro Posted May 2, 2007 Posted May 2, 2007 It's not just us C4 drivers that have the problem either, when I had my Toyota and logged on to their forum it was a common complaint there as well I had the auto wipers on my Xsara but then my Avensis didn't but I'm glad I've got the auto wipers back on the C4 Quote
C4VTS Posted May 2, 2007 Posted May 2, 2007 My auto wipe goes at warp speed on a cold morning with no rain, but just after having scraped the windscreen of frost, and sometimes after overnight rain. Quote
wozza Posted May 2, 2007 Posted May 2, 2007 Was in a Mercedes E class the other day. Beaming sunlight hit the windscreen autowipers went on. Just made me smile thinking least my £13k Citroen doesn't do that. Quote

My 13k Citroen does do that  I also get auto lights on as well as the mad auto wipers on mornings when the car has lots of condensation on the windscreen. IanBlack 55 VTR+ Quote
