richardm Posted August 19, 2007 Posted August 19, 2007 Hi, I've just bought a 2004 134k C5 LX Estate. The windscreen wipers need changing and they are the rubber blades type. Thing is, I can't work out ( ) how to get the wipers up in the air so I can take the blades off. The bonnet gets in the way and I can only get them about 2 inches away from the screen before they get stopped by the top edge. I can't seem to stop the wiper mid-cycle, they always return to their rest position. I'm contemplating undoing the nut that holds them onto the motor and replacing the blades that way. Surely there is an easy way to do this...can you tell me what it is? Quote
Guest rowls Posted August 19, 2007 Posted August 19, 2007 With the ignition switched off, just press the wiper stalk down then release it, the wipers will stop halfway up the screen and allow you to lift the arms and take the blades off! Quote
