Guest gs fan Posted April 6, 2009 Posted April 6, 2009 If I needed to replace the clutch on my C5 hdi (51 reg ) could I convert the flywheel to a std solid one?? and if so where do you get the parts for the conversion ?? The engine code is DW10ATED (RHZ)I believe it has the "pull type " release mechanism . Hoping I'll not need it for sometime yet , but I'd like to be clued up incase ... Quote

coastline taxis Posted April 6, 2009 Posted April 6, 2009 just get a 4 in 1 clutch kit. the engine and box is used in a few ranges (citroen/pugs/fiat) and the kits are available and have done plenty on the fiats easy to do aswell Quote

Where best to get the replacement from ? Does it make any differance to the way the clutch performs changing from Dual Mass to solid ? Quote
