Hi all, Me again tanks for all the help with my windows which are now fixed. I am off to the continent on Monday so was cleaning the car today. The radio stopped working as through there was no power to it so I checked the fuse and all was ok (I tried a new fuse as well just to be sur) at the same time I noticed that my clock had re-set itself. I tried a couple of other radio's again no power so I tried the BSI reset. This made no difference and if I lock the car and leave for more than 1 or 2 min it won't unlock with the remote I have to use the key on the passenger side (driver side lock just spins round) the remote then works for the next few minuetes after the car is locked but then I revert to having to use thekey. The central locking works fine with the key and as soonas it's locked and unlocked the remote works fine until the car is left locked for a cpl of mins.

Any suggestions guys?

Thanks

Sounds like you've blown the fuse that controls the central display and radio - same thing happened to me. It's a 15 amper in the glove box fuse area, marked as "satellite navigation" in the handbook.

Could be you've checked the wrong fuse? ( may car is a 2002 sx petrol wth no sat nav). When this went, the central display kept working, but didn't illuminate and the clock/date went back to zero every time I restarted.

And the radio went dead.

And the central locking played up

A pretty close match to your problem...
