coastline taxis Posted July 29, 2009 Author Posted July 29, 2009 Ok starting to make a bit headway now. Finaly got some fault code out of this one multiplexing no communication wit bsi unitUnauthorised stop request So used scaner to go into bsi unit and found the following code engine torque regulation anyway cleared both codes took car out and drove fine for 6-7 miles then started hic uping again plugged back in and got the engine torque regulation. Any sugestions at all Quote
iannez Posted July 29, 2009 Posted July 29, 2009 you should not have an engine fault in the bsi mate. you sure it was'nt inj ecu you were in. clear the faults and drive or get some one else to while you keep an eye on cam and crank sync in live data. Quote
coastline taxis Posted August 5, 2009 Author Posted August 5, 2009 Well had to admit defeat its now at town center cit getting sorted. looking forward to seeing what the prob is Quote

coastline taxis Posted August 14, 2009 Author Posted August 14, 2009 ok will do. double checked and torque regulation fault is definatley in BSI unit. phoned snap on and dealer coming tomorow to check scanner just in case its at fault as you never know. cheers steve Quote
techbod Posted August 16, 2009 Posted August 16, 2009 what was the code? it sounds like a fuel/air adaption fault and possibly fuel rail but the code would narrow it down. from BBA. Before sending the unit try the BSI Reset procedure as this may cure your faults: Put the driver's window down, lift the bonnet and ensure all equipment is switched off. Ensure all doors are closed and remove key from the ignition. Wait for 3 minutes, disconnect the vehicle battery and wait 15 seconds. Reconnect the vehicle battery, wait a further 10 seconds (do not open doors.). Switch on the side lights through the driver's window. Switch on the ignition and check system's functionality. Hold lock button on key down for 10 seconds. Remove key open & close door test central locking system. Start the engine and complete the system's check. Failure to follow this procedure could result in incorrect operation of many BSI related items. Quote
