DaveHerns Posted October 25, 2009 Posted October 25, 2009 I've just won a Motorola bluetooth kit on Ebay. I imagine I will fit it under the dash on the nearside Where is a good point to pick up a permanent live and an ignition controlled live ? One off each cigar lighter on the console seems a good idea ? Would you use Scotchlocks on this thin wire or solder on to the existing connectors ? Quote
DaveHerns Posted November 1, 2009 Author Posted November 1, 2009 I think I will use the cigar lighters as they will take the power required with no probs It has an orange wire for audio mute .How do I get the radio out of a Mk2 C5 - I've tried poking rods through the 2 holes in the front panel but no joy. If I get it out is this orange wire a straight conection to the radio wiring ?Thanks Quote

You may also be able to take the mute from the traffic master unit which is in the top of the glove box? or im not sure if you have the under seat wiring for a cd unit, but maybe there also? Quote
DaveHerns Posted November 8, 2009 Author Posted November 8, 2009 Those instructions would seem to be for the Mk 1 C5 v, mine's a Mk2 with the Peugeot 407 type radio .Anyone know how this comes out ? I'll have a look on the Peugeot forum ...... Quote

DaveHerns Posted November 15, 2009 Author Posted November 15, 2009 Try this forum, the people who run it are very helpfull: http://www.siocommunications.co.uk/Forum/i....php?board=43.0Thanks The bluetooth kit was easy to fit with the feeds coming from the 2 cigar lighters - one ignition controlled , one permanently live .The radio apparently comes out with a torx driver (TX 10 ?) inserted through the hole either side of the radio front panel , If it's not a simple as connecting two orange wires together I'm not going to bother with the mute facility Quote
