Airbag Fault

Well my old C5 has been so well behaved for many months now , but yesterday it made that annoying Peep sound and the screen said " Airbag Fault" . I've had this once or twice more than a year ago , but as soon as I switched it off and restarted it the problem was gone . Now it seems to persist .Wondered if anyone has a fix for this ?? I have looked under "Search" and have seen the Coms 2000 unit mentioned ....... Jack.

Cheers for that C/l .. I thought you might have a cheap solution !!! Would it be feasible to get one of a srappy ???? Is it easy to remove / fit ???

Could be worth checking the wires under the seat just in case one of them has come lose. Other than that i would just live with it as the comms unit is not cheap. Ive got four of them sitting on a shelf all with the airbag fault on

If the airbags do not work would this affect an insurance claim, maybe by a passenger against the driver ?

Would it be an MOT failure ? If not then probably not as you could argue the car meets all legal requirements
