longdead Posted January 23, 2010 Author Posted January 23, 2010 Hi I said I checked all the fuses that I could but I phoned local citroen for a price and they told me about £650 fitted it has to be garage job because it has to be plugged in but they then said have you checked the maxi fuses under the fuse box in bonnet no I haven't so I checked and the 40amp fuse had blown £2.69 Halford but it still does not workI believe I can hear it work when I turn the ignition on for a few seconds and when the engine is running if I put my ear to the fluid bottle there is a sort of humming like sound as if the pump is workingAs I have said I checked the fuses and to play safe I disconnected the battery to remove them do you think it needs to be plugged in to reset or what ever they do or is it some think else ? coastline taxis Posted January 24, 2010 Posted January 24, 2010 Thats what i was thinking Might be worth pulling the black cover on the left of the engine bay and checking the wires to the pump and check that the earths are ok. Also if youve had the suspension pumped up full check the rubber return hoses on the hydraulic rams where it joins onto the metal pipe on the inner wing to see if they have snapped Quote

There was no oily mess on floor and fluid bottle still full. So nothing snapped. Bumper half on as starting to rain. Look's like a visit to the garage again. Thanks for the advise again.Longdead Quote
coastline taxis Posted January 24, 2010 Posted January 24, 2010 Still check the pipes there on the back of the rams as they dont spray fluid allover like youd imagine hydraulic pressure to it normally appears as damp patches on the plastic inner wing guard. Just a daft one this mind but try jacking the car up with a jack via the sills then put ignition on and see if the rams move Quote
