I Glow Plugs2001 Xantia 2.0 Hd1

Poor starting despite changing battery, so going for the glow plugs. Looks easy, but want to be sure don't muck something up in my beloved 110bhp Xantia. Can anyone help?

 

Also,how do I drain fuel filter can't find it or anything that looks like the handbook says it does (little pump?), at least!

the fuel filter is in the center of the engine in front of glow plugs 2&3,

wasting your time changing glow plugs mate. they only work when engine temp is below -5 deg so the plugs that are in now will probably be as good as new. think how often you see the glow plug light on if ever.
