Guest womble Posted December 5, 2010 Posted December 5, 2010 Hi, Does anyone know where the OBD connector is in the Exclusive? Also what cable would I need to connect to a PC? KPJUK If it is similar to the Berlingo, try the fuse box beneath the dash or a removable panel around the steering column area??? From what I can ascertain by looking at which pins are wired in the 16 pin socket, no.s 1,4,5,7,11,13 and 16 are connected which would suggest my motor is wired in ISO configuration but with a couple of extra leads, don't know if it is the same for all other models. Being cynical, I would suggest that these are leads to inhibit the connection of other than genuine Citroen equipment neccesitating a visit to the dealers and a dip in the arse pocket again, but that is just my jaundiced view on the subject. You would probably need a 16pin to USB diagnostic lead and of course the relevant software Chasing up a similar thing myself,I am in pursuit of a hand held code reader to carry out my own diagnoses and reset the engine warning light and something that is readily portable to keep in the glovebox. The deeper you get into the subject matter, the deeper your wallet needs to be, do you need the computer hook up or would the hand-held device suffice for your needs too?? Getting the information from Citroen themselves seems to be a bit of a "Closed Shop", why the big secrets??? Still the subject of ongoing fact-finding and research before I commit to buying, would be interested in how you go on. Good luck.... Quote
Guest womble Posted December 5, 2010 Posted December 5, 2010 Forgot to add, this link was reccomended to me, I have no connection or pecunary interest in them and cannot vouch for how good or not they may be. I am thinking of one of their £39.95 handheld diagnostics and they seem to offer a good after-sales service. My link You pays your money, you makes your choice.... Quote
Guest kpjuk Posted December 18, 2010 Posted December 18, 2010 Thanks Womble, I am thinking of putting a computer in to the car for up to date TMC data fro the SatNav, and better MP3 management. Once it's in there I was thinking about connecting up the OBDII and seeing what data was available for general display. I have bought one these OBD II Cable and will let you know how I get on. The car gets dropped off of Tuesday, and looking forward to having a play. cheersKPJUK Quote

Not tried the obd lead and software yet, will give it a go tomorrow. cheersKPJUK Quote
