Guest Hall2011 Posted January 1, 2011 Posted January 1, 2011 Hi, I am in desperate need of HELP i have a Citroen C5 1.8 vtr petrol 2004 model. I have searched the internet looking to locate were about the tps is and have found nothing. Can anyone tell me Were about is it located? What it looks like? Can it be repaired or does it need to be replaced? Any help is greatly appreciated Thanks Quote
Randombloke Posted January 1, 2011 Posted January 1, 2011 In all Peugeot Citroen cars I've dealt with it's usually behind the battery, close to the bulkhead where a LHD car would have the throttle pedal on the other side of the bulkhead. There is a cable going into it, and a half wheel on which the cable runs. It's a sealed unit so it can't be repaired (as far as I know). Why do you think there is something wrong with it? You haven't actually posted the details of the fault. It might be the MAF sensor? I will try and link to an image here if you ask. It would make sense to simply buy the Haynes Manual if you wish to try and fix this car. Quote

This is the TPS close up. http://lh6.ggpht.com/_128CsRaOoBg/TR89ZvrsgvI/AAAAAAAAArc/FkfVYhkEa5E/IMG_0039s.JPG This is a wider shot to give you an idea of location. This is a 2.2 diesel but they are not that different: http://lh6.ggpht.com/_128CsRaOoBg/TR89Zp7wY0I/AAAAAAAAArw/JeVX_ZZ2B8w/IMG_0042s.JPG Quote

Guest Hall2011 Posted January 3, 2011 Posted January 3, 2011 Ok these are the pictures of my throttle body and by the battery were you highlighted it should be attached, I have just bought the haynes workshop manul and their is not one mention what so ever of the throttle position sensor (TPS). If anyone can see it or knows were about it is please let me know A.S.A.P Best Wishes & Thanks Quote
paul.h Posted January 3, 2011 Posted January 3, 2011 Haynes is a bit vague, whilst showing a tps in the engine management line drawing (for your engine) and then saying it may be part of the throttle body (fig 13.27 ?). Quote
