Still starts, runs and drives.

He asked me to make an offer...I know it's going to need bits doing but what would you lot see as a fair price to offer him.

I'm thinking around £300 taking into account that it'll likely require new brakes all round plus various bushes etc and transporting 120miles back to mine.

Or is that just a rubber washer? Where do I get that if anyone knows the part number please.

I had a spring replaced and now have a tracking error as car is pulling right. Thought I would have this fixed first and then set the tracking.

Item 1: Presence of Catalysts and Particulate Filters on Diesel Powered Vehicles

On 16 February 2014 Section 7.1 of the inspection manual will be amended to include a check for the presence of catalysts and particulate filters on diesel powered vehicles. Any vehicle where a catalytic converter or particulate filter is missing where one was fitted as standard will fail the test.

Many have had the dpf removed or knocked through when it has been giving problems or it was due for replacement. In these cases the dpf and its eolys system will need to be refitted and if the software was modified it will need to be reverted back. On an old car it may make the car worthless so beware of cheap diesels for sale where the dpf may have been removed.

This also raises other problems, with a dpf removed the car could not be classed as up to MOT standard and any insurance may no longer be valid.

Our tow car of two years Citroen C4 Picasso Grand 2014 2 litre diesel 30000 miles from new has been a great vehicle till yesterday!
Off shopping gets half a mile from home suddenly a red warning appears charging fault Stop Immediately!
Pulled off lifted the bonnet to find destroyed fan belt and disintegrated belt tensioner!
Kept an eye on the engine temperature as motored back home and called RAC for uplift to dealer.
Just been informed by Citroen garage "its a well known fault we will be fitting the upgraded replacement tensioner"
Worth a phone call perhaps if you have this model
If it had happened on sunday we would have got caught towing on our 200 mile trip home from the highlands in gale force winds.
That would have been a whole different story.

My dilemma:

• The Haynes workshop manual is so vague and the illustration they supply looks nothing like the cavity that surrounds my filter.
• Our local Citroen dealer (Sunshine Coast, Queensland. Aus) has no diagram on his data base of it either.

Has anybody else had an issue with the text box not accepting spaces ?The subject line has no issues, but when i try to post in this box it does not accept spaces so everything looks like gibberish!

What is the best polish/wax?

I can't seem to get my VCI to talk to my Citroen C1 after many attempts of software and fresh XP installs..

I then tested my Virtual Machine(VM) Diagbox 7.02 / VCI 4.3.0 on a friends Peugeot 407, and it works!? (I'm excited to get my first ever 32bit VM running on 64bit Win 10, but annoyed I've faffed with many installs attempting to talk to my C1 when it worked all along, just not on my car )

I've also bought a £4.25 ELM27 OBD2 reader and that does actually work on my C1's port. I can read most of the live data and faults in the Torque App, but after about 6 fresh installs of XP and Diagbox in various ways, it turns out that was never the problem, as it does work on the 2012 407 just not my 2007 C1, and I know the VCI also used to work on my last vehicle: 2009 Dispatch, it was all running fine on my old laptop.

Could it be I have a non full chip reader, or can my port be malfunctioning on certain pins K-line problems? There is 12v on pins 4/5 to 16 are there any fuses I should check or specific pins for data transfer?? Another thought, could Diagbox 7.02-7.04 and now I tried 7.57 - Could it be broken for the C1? 

I read from Simple about 10k resistor missing on some boards, but i'm not sure for mine if my VCI is full Chip or missing things? :  I can try to solder of i need to.

Been searching the sites trying to find either a new key fob or just the rubber replacement, I reckon the rubber will do the trick but cant find anyplace to get it,

it's worn so much now that I have to press the tiny buttons to lock and unlock the van, Getting worried that dirt or water will enter and make things much worse,

Does anyone know of an online shop where I can get a replacement without having to get another key cut,

I also need a spare wheel carrier that sits under the rear of the van... I damaged mine when reversing, there was no wheel in it and it was hanging down when I was reversing... it got mangled

I used to own a Xsara and posted a fair few times on the cxoc site.  Not having had the car for a while now I've had no reason to visit, but I do have a question related to the stereo and tried to post on cxoc to get advice.  Only to find that it seems to be gone...  Or at least taken over but something cyber-weird.  

But I did find this site, and wondered if it is the new incarnation or something totally separate.  If the latter, does anyone know what became of cxoc?

I had folded all of the seats to transport some bits and peices but when I came to pop the seats back up, the middle one was stuck down. It looks like the cable has snapped or disengaged but I can't get the back off the seat to repair it. Does anyone know how to do this? It's the centre seat with the built-in seatbelt...

So I tried the "forgotten my password"   route and having typed in my gmail email address was informed an email was on its way.

Nothing arrived, not even in spam.

Today I received an email from Pegler Yorkshire inviting me to down load their app and as an appetizer I would be entered into a competition to win £3000's worth of press fit kit {plumbing stuff), although at 70 I would probably just try to swap it for a later C5 than my 2006 estate.

I must be on the Pegler Yorkshire data base as once I had downloaded the app I was asked to sign in with a request for the relevant password which of course I could not remember so once again I went down the forgotten my password route with the usual "you will receive an email soon message".

Needless to say no email has arrived.

So its not just this web site.

I just wondered if anyone has any suggestions as to what the cause might be. 

Fortunately I found my existing Citroen Owners Club password so there is a God after all.
