I will buy a XM V6 24V -99 but it has some problems with the cooling fans.

The cooling fans won't start either if push the ac-button nor when the thermostat opens around 95 degrees.

The three or four relays above the left hand side light pulls when you turn on the ignition. 

If I remove fuse 15, the cooling fans run on maximum speed constant and the info display shows erroneous "ABS out of use". The ABS-bulb makes a self check and become unlit as it should be. Diagbox shows no error on the abs-system.

Do you have any clue what it can be?

Has anyone a spare cable ??? the car is otherwise perfect . Runs as new. Any solutions to this problem which I'm told is

common- Can the cable be shortened and does this solve the problem. Has anyone solved this? Its seems ridiculous to put a

perfectly good car off the road for what seems such a basic problem.

I've been dreaming of having an XM for 8 years and now I have mine!!! I'm still learning it and I have a first problem to solve. The remote control key didn't have batteries. I bought new ones but it doesn't work. Does anyone know how to set or reset the central locking from the remote? Please help!

I charged it up again overnight and this morning it is fine. The alternator is OK so the only conclusion I can come to is that something is still "on" all the time and hence draining the battery. I have checked the boot and all the interior lights and they are all off. Has anyone come across this before?

I hope you could give some advice on spares for the front suspension on a 1991 XM. It needs the top section of the front struts/suspension cylinder mounting. This is my in law's car, they have been told that the mk 1 parts are no longer available, the mk 2 item does not screw onto the mk1 strut/cylinder, so it needs 2 new mk2 cylinders as well! They were quoted over £1000 for parts which sadly writes the car off.

Can anyone help with a cheaper solution to this problem, it is too good a car to scrap. ;)

My central lock was suddendly start to work. Thats god but car wont run anymore. Is there some gas-stop systems or something, I dont have that keykodesystems, but is there some other securitysystems? Car is XM -90 2.0i berline. Gapump wont give gas now. I lock my car for the night and again same problems, want start running!!! At the first time I do everething I could, I studies and testing electric, and quite much other things but nothing happends. Then after 24 our standing that buster suddendly start and work very well....whats the problem? And now I again in good hope lock my car again and it wont start again!!! Who can help with this problemos??

Does anyone know where the remote receiver unit is located on mk 2 XM?

My '98 XM doesn't seem to be lifting in the front. The back is fine. Any ideas on what this could be?

My dad owns an XM 2.0l on a K plate. (unlucky him lol) The coil pack has a poor spark or no spark at all on cyl #1 causing a misfire at most times. The other three ht leads /plugs have a good spark, does this means the coil pack is ok?

Could this be more of a ECU problem or is the coil pack borked?

ps. Dont blame you for not helping getting another c**p XM on the road..lol

I have just got an XM.. i know about all the expence of servicing and electrics etc... however, she is really bouncey down bad roads... just getting to grips with understainding how it all works, as far as i can see all the suspensions is connetced via fluid and has gas in each of the 5 or 6 spheres.. now, if its too bouncy would that be due to a lake of fluid, gas or both?

has anyone got any info might help me?

Ive just got my first xm and the rear suspension is solid ie no suspension (the front is fine), it rises and falls with the hydractive system fine.

Does anyone know what is likely to be at fault here? as ive never worked on a car with this type of suspension before.

Its a 92 V6 SEI 12V Manual Estate.

It never has the fault when cold but as the needle reaches the 90 mark it will start,

I never loses Idle, and can drive through it to about 3000

Its a throttle position fault rather than revs related but comes in on normal driving at 1800 RPM.

Its a smooth cut like a revlimiter, you can feel the engine move on the mountings, it looses all the cylinders.

The Citroen Diagnostic computer displays no fault found or recorded, and the throttle switch test passes.

I have kept driving it the hope it will die and the fault can be fixed.

Its had the mod to the block connecter under the LHM resovoir, and I have broken and cleaned most engine loom connectors.

Does this ring any bells with other V6 owners? Am I the last one left?
