Can't Unlock

Hi there once again.

My wife's Pluriel strikes again after new battery and new alternator fited a few months back. This time the car stood for 3 days and battery drained itself. She managed to unlock the car, try starting it but couldn't crank. She locked the car and got the bus. After 4 hours I came home and couldn't get unlocked. I hardly managed to squeez my 6 pack belly under the bumper and reached my hand between engine and rad to open the bonnet lock. Put the jump start pack on battery terminals and tryed to unlock it from remote ... nothing. Dead!

Tryed passanger door with the key and the lock barrel just spins freely right and left doing absolutelly nothing.

Tryed drivers's door ... barrel broke off and i pull it out of the door with the key :)) I've heared a few parts falling inside the door and that's it ... a nice big hole to the unknown.

I,ve checked on google how the handle mechanism looks like on the inside and found the white litle plastic that pulls the cable to unlock, but it's doing nothing.

Now ... literally i scratch my head and start looking on ebay which window is cheaper... unless someone has a better idea.

Even if I break in, i guess the inner handles won't open the doors, but am I able to start the car and reprogram the remote?

From your experience which window is easyest to replace?

Thank you!

Heater Blower Fan Not Working

Hi guys,

Fan not working on my 1.6 pluriel 54 model. I have a 2004 C3 Pluriel and am trying to find a wiring diagram that covers the roof, rear window operation and the setup with other electrical/control units within the car.

I have obtained the above car knowing that the roof and rear window do not open. There is also a regular bleep from the stereo. The roof ECU had a plug/lead detached and when I plugged it back in, the central locking would not work. I would guess that the roof ECU was signalling that all is not locked down properly and hence the central locking would not stay locked and the radio bleeps as an audible warning of the same? When I unplugged the same lead, the central locking worked again, but the audible bleep is always there with the radio turned on.

As further background, the previous owner said that the car was misfiring and so the engine ECU, the BSI and the roof control units were changed.

I am an ex-mechanic and changed careers around 30 years ago, but I have still maintained an interest, but have not kept up with computerised systems/sensors. However, I have purchased several books, renewed my multi meter and have bought a laptop with diagnostic software on it to try and bring myself more up to date. I like a challenge, hence the Pluriel. I would love to be able to get these issues fixed before the end of the summer so I can take a drive with the roof down and raise it up again should it rain!

Without a wiring diagram, I am unsure what unit/controller/micro switch/s does what in what order to ensure that everything is powered up in the right way to make the rear window and roof work.

Another question is over Lexia 3 software and interface - will it read problems with any ECU's/sensors associated with the rear window/roof/other sensors? - would this help me to diagnose problems in this area?

Many thanks

Citroen C3 Pluriel - Roof Problem Help

Hi

I bought a citroen pluriel c3 2004 in Germany two months ago , The dealer told me that the Electronic Part of cabrio is defective ,

The boot (tailgate) was closed and cant opened, so he suggested me to change the Electronic Module of Cabrio, but cabrio worked to open just a little .

I found in my country used part Eletronict Ecu of roof , I changed it , a tailgate start to work but cabrio no. The vehicle is in the N position with my foot on the brake pedal. Then the vehicle shows a spanner and the engine light on the dash and the vehicle goes into auto mode. The vehicle will not start nor can I now select or change gears with the selector or paddles.

I then have to take the plus terminal off the battery wait a minute and reconnect and then turn the key so the dash lights come on, but not to start position with my foot on the brake pedal. This then resets the gearbox and the vehicle goes to the 1st gear after a few minutes, whereby I can then select neutral.

The vehicle then starts no problems.

I have purchased a new battery and it still has the same issue.

I was thinking now of replacing the ECU?

Any thoughts would be really appreciated.
