I have tried -

1 - Following the owners manual (online) and checking for two buttons either side of the display - there are none

2 - The stereo is a Pioneer Mosfet 50wx4 and I tried following the instructions through the manual for setting the time but it didn't do anything - the instructions said to press the source button to switch it off (I tried pressing source on the display as well as the source button at the end of the control stick to the right of the steering wheel) which I did. Then it said to repeatedly press the 'audio' button but I could be misinterpreting something as I couldn't find anything that said 'Audio'. So I tested by pressing every other button but no joy.

3 - I also reset the trip computer and pressed in the button while on the date display page to see if that triggered anything but it didn't.

Really not sure what else to try now... Any ideas?

I have a general question about starting a 2007 petrol C2, we have had this car for 7 years and its started first time everytime!

We have it for sale and I have given it plenty of TLC so the new owner will be happy...

The first person to test drive it gets in and cant start it, me and the wife are aghast and he gets out and I get in and it starts no problem... He gets back in and once again it wont start, it turns out myself being and older driver I always press the accelerator down a little and so does my wife.

The question is should the C2 petrol 1.1 engine fire up without pushing down the accelerator?

The consensus of opinion is very mixed when talking to other drivers... some say yes and others say why would you need to press the accelerator.

I thought the best way to find out was post here and maybe find a solution before I start taking the carb apart,

My rear wheel bearings (inner and outer) seem to be open style tapered roller bearings and all the ones online are sealed ?

Have they upgraded or am i missing something here? Car=1.4 petrol 05 c2

Does the petrol 1.4 c2 have an egr valve if so the location would be good.

The reason im asking is because my c2 runs rough on idle "lumpy" ive cleaned the throttle body the best i can but thought egr could also do this?

My C2 is getting water in one of the connectors that plug into the engine management system - of the three its the one nearest the front of the car.

Causing the car to cut out /low rev etc.

Its happened three times so far over the last few months. To get the car running again, I simply disconnect the plug, dry it out and I'm off again.

No matter what I do, I cannot see where the water is coming from, especially given that the battery cover also covers this part of the engine as well.

I have a citroen c2 gt, i am looking for a spare wheel, carrier, jack etc, to retrofit to my car. I know its not supposed to have one but all the mounts for the cradle appear to be there.

I have recently bought a 06 vts C2. I have been struck by how much it revs when driving. I admit I have moved on from a 2.2 honda diesel! But when I have compared the speed to revs on my girlfriends car I am a little worried. At 60mph in the C2 its doing 3250rpm in her 1.4 golf its doing just 3000rpm. But the confusion comes when the C2 is doing 70mph and 4000revs while the golf is doing 80 at the same revs.My main concern is fuel consumption. The published stats for combined are 40mpg but im scraping 35mpg and Im driving bang on speed limits and even 65 on the motorway! I have owned a C2 gt in the past and cant remember the revs (and engine noise) being an issue.

Id have thought in a 1.6 it would be reving lower. Am I being paranoid or should I get it checked?

Also, out of curiosity, where is reverse. In mine its right-then-down. only reason I ask is the car came with a non standard metal citroen sport gear knob. Im wondering if the gear box has been changed and the reverse is now not in the standard place...given away if the original knob was present.

Ive just bought a C2 2005 1.1. didnt get manual with the car. Just got a few questions if anyone has answers

Do you get a warning when you are low on fuel, i can see you will get to the last light but how do you know how close to empty you are??

Also what are the buttons for, by speedometer/fuel gauge, you have one on the left and one on the right ???

We are currently saving up the last little bit of money to buy our Citroen C2. We can only afford the insurance on a 1.4 Furio but dont know whether to go for the manual or SensoDrive. Does anyone have any opinions or tips?

We've read somewhere that the SensoDrive is difficult to manage and can be costly if something goes wrong (some say it will!) but others have been more than complimentary. I guess we just need some pointers before we spend our hard earned savings lol! :P

I,ve just bought my wife ( today ) a C2 VTS 2004 (1.6i)

she has driven one before ( my daughters ) and loves the sensodrive etc

This car comes with built-in navidrive and phonesystem.

I have the discs and the sat nav map is up and running

BUT....SADLY there are no user manuals for these 2 items.

is there a web site where I can down load the manuals from

or can anyone sell me or photocopyand I will pay

Although the sat nav looks simple enough i put in a town called BARDWELL which is located in Bury St Edmunds ( Suffolk) but then ....I could put in the street name of THE CROFT ( the letter "T" wasn't an option ) so I'assuming I'm doing something wrong also there wasn't an option for postcodes ???

I havn't attempted to palywith the phone system yet

I'm a bitwary of putting the discs in my PC to see if there is a user manual on themincase I damage the discs ????

The C2's styling is angular and aggressive - note the plunging side windows and sloping roof line - and Citroën says the extended wheelarches will accommodate 16in wheels. Base models will be powered by 1.1- and 1.4-litre engines, while the C2 1.6 VTR gets a 110bhp unit. The SensoDrive paddleshift transmission will also be optional.

Inside, the interior trim can be had in blue, orange or green, and the rear seats can both recline and slide backwards and forwards. The tailgate is split Range-Rover style, so just the glass window can be opened.

Safety takes a huge leap over the Saxo with the inclusion of ABS, Electronic Brake Distribution, ESP, traction control and up to six airbags.

There will also be a wide range of options. Boxes to tick include automatic air-con, parking radar, automatic headlamps, rain-sensitive wipers and a trip computer.
