Any help and advice anyone can give would be very much appreciated. It came with 2 transponder keys &amp; 2 citroen remote fobs. They've changed the battery in 1 of the fobs as it wasn't working &amp; they want to get the other fob repaired as the buttons are playing up. </p><p> </p><p>The problem they have is that from what we've read to syncronise a fob to the car you have to unlock manually with the key. She's been through the wars a bit with a new head gasket and other repairs over the years but recently she has failed to start.  Last week it was taking longer and longer to start until one day it would not start at all. Took the first of my four for a test this morning.   The Saxo.   It got through with an advisory for a weak handbrake.   Not surprising - the rear drums haven't been off yet. I have recently had an MOT of which the car failed due to high emmisions. Although the exhaust is 11 months old the guy said the engine was not breathing and burning oil. Working on my daughter's Saxo 1.5 V reg 1999 diesel and the nearside rear door will not unlock. I have managed to get the interior door panel off and messed about as much as I can - all rods still attached, controls move when key operates central locking mechanism BUT IT IS FIRMLY LOCKED. Tried taking out the electrical connector. No change. In spite of warnings about boiling in traffic it's never done this. It runs fine, never pinks or smells, I've replaced the rad switch 3 times and tested the socket with an ammeter which ran the fan (about 9 amps).The socket pins are good so I remain baffled. The thermostat is new too, and the heater is fine.</p><p>Why am I worrying you ask? The MOT man said it boiled over for him, so I've missed something. I seem to be having problems getting hold of a replacement rear exhaust box for my saxo. Ideally i want one that is identical to my OE box with the same rear tailpipe design.
