To the best of knowledge, we saw hundreds of them on TV, & the law was made to allow them to wear there turbans. 1st question; When did you last see a Muslim riding a motorbike?

Now we have laws which say youths cannot wear 'hoodies' in towns (ok I'm not sure if its LAW but police will arrest anyone who is in town & wearing one to cover there face) , but no mention of female Muslims??

Now I don't know too much about anyone elses religion, & I don't care too much for my own! Everything in the BIBLE is a contradiction. So I can only say....yes I belive in GOD but NOT the BIBLE - or anything else written by man. After all, what kind of religion states 'you must rid the earth of infedels' - infidels, being ANYONE who does NOT belive in your religion (I think at this moment in time they are really trying hard to do this!?).

So 2nd question; What should be put first, LAW or RELIGION?

And just so we understand what I would like to do......did you know it only takes 3 people to start a religion? You need a place to 'worship' & more important a set of 'rules'

Right I will tell you my 'rules'....1/ you must carry a gun - just in case you come accross a wounded animal. 2/ you must consume at least one pint of beer or double short, once a week - to relive stress. 3/....each member will contribute there own 'rule' (only one each).

A place to worship; my house once a month ( other members houses also once a month - & remeber...a place of worship is not subject to council tax).

Any one want to sign up? There is a nice wee girl in his reading group who's parents are Jehovah Witnesses and therefore probably one herself. Now, my son had a "Magic Key" book the other day for homework, which was about Christmas and Santa Claus (nothing religous)........

I have found out that this wee girl's parents informed the school that she wasn't allowed to be given this book for reading <_< , as it was about a christian festival. I find this truly amazing and bit extreme, since I wouldn't have a problem if my son had a reading book about some jewish or islamic festival etc.

In the past these same parents have excluded their child from classmates' birthday parties, school assemblies and don't allow her to accept Chrstmas cards. In addition, when the little girl was at nursery school they tried to ban the staff from putting up a Christmas tree - the parents were told where to go :woot:

This Christmas, my son will be giving this wee girl a "Happy Holiday" card as he feels sorry for her (even at his young age) that she is being excluded. I wonder if she will be allowed to accept this.

Surely the parents' attitude to this is detrimental to their daughter social well-being and school experience. No doubt she will be "targeted" at school in years to come, by both pupils and teachers - shame, and something I don't advocate.

What do you think about all of this?

Should we choose our Kids Religion?

Wont leave this one on for long.....

Hi folks,

I have split Trainspotters Thread as I thought the discussion about the moral issues of Religion were putting the celebration side of it in the shadows.
