I don't know about where you people live, but where i am, i am sick & tired of seeing 16 or so year old teenagers, pushing there screaming kids around, whilst smoking & talking on there mobiles.

Why are we so stupid as to keep paying for them on benifits, when they have never put a penny into the system?

I have got a daughter & whoe betide her ever thinking of getting up the duff before or just after leaving school

Me & the missus think that the goverment should not give anything out to help these people until they have helped the country.

I know there are different reasons for Spam pregnancys, but surely if the goverment refused to help these kids out i.e (income support, housing benifits, etc, etc)

surely they would have more money to put back into the system such as NHS etc

Well that is my whinge for today

Tara for now

It would be interesting to know exactly what your 'whoe betide' solution would be.

A lot of girls this day want to set up home without the necessary funds to do so. The only way to fulfill their dreams is to have a kid and get on the housing list for a council flat .. and we have to give them it ... coz they have rights .....

Until we act sensibly and make them pay for their own mistakes the better, then perhaps the message will get about... perhaps compulsory adoption for kids born to mothers who can't support them?

this all sounds a bit victorian to me,but we do need a bigger british population for future genarationse or we will have to use more imagrants thus in 40 years we will be a very small population ,so the girls are doing a service to the country in thier own way, what happened to big families my wifes one of twelve,we dont have big famlies now because we cant afford to,if every one had 4x children per family we would not need outsiders to come to our country to do jobs ,rdfb2.

Italy and Norway both have no state benefit or handouts for young single mums and both have the lowest rate of teenage pregnacies in europe! what irks me the most is when you see young mothers smoking over there prams or smoking in cars with little ones,

If they can't support their brats ... remove them, place 'em in State run kindergartens / boarding schools, without access to computer games / drink / drugs and release them onto the world at age 18 to go straight into the Army.

Hey, it's a benefits culture - the money is sat there for taking, whether you're a teenage mother or someone pretending to have a bad back and claiming incapacity benefit (and using a blue badge to boot). I paid £806.65 income tax and £244.80 NI last month and of course I am deliriously happy to work my socks off and for it to go towards keeping a teenage parent in fags, booze and whatever other vices they may have. NOT.

However.

It takes two to tango, as they say, and my apologies but I'm making the assumption that Spizzlot's original post is referring to teenage girls. Why just have a go at the girls? They end up raising a brood of kids all by different fathers and living off the benefits system, having been taken advantage of at a vulnerable age by a lad promising them the earth. What about the lads who, if they could control their rampant hormones long enough to stick a condom on the end of their dicks, could do their bit to reduce the teenage pregnancy statistics? What about making them work and contribute towards the child/ren they have bred, lessening the burden on the benefits system?

PHSE lessons or whatever it's called at school isn't enough. They should all - boys and girls - be MADE to sit through lessons that explain to them what their lives could be like, and how they would be taking from the mugs who slave away day in, day out, to provide for them. Show them that they may think it's cool to have a baby and then be given a flat in a tower block - but that it could be damp, with drug addicts above and below, with needles in the lift and vomit in the stairwell. How those lifts will always be out of order and they'll have to lug their pram up 15 flights of stairs. It may have a deterrent effect and put a few of them off.

My personal view is that this will never be resolved. It will bug every government, be their politics left, right, in the middle or upside down. No politician will be brave enough to bring in sufficient measures to stop this. It would be their downfall. I will quite happily eat my hat if one of them does, though!

I get both infuriated and sad when I see some of these girls - and it's not all of them, only some. Many feel they will never have anything in life, but having a kid gives them 'status' - as well as somewhere to live and money in their pocket. A lot don't know any different, having been brought up in that environment, and they have absolutely no idea of the burden they place on the economy or our society. They think it's perfectly normal and I really can't see anything making them see any different.

When I think about society in these terms, I begin to wonder why I brought a child into it.

Posted

For some areas of our society it is now several generations into benefits culture and is ingrained. 'Whatever the situation we will be looked after' is the motto. I think this is what needs tackling more than any sudden and swingeing changes or punishment....quite how this would be done, I have absolutely no idea. Primary school maybe?

For many of us, but for the help of Ficus elastica, and its bl@@dy inconvenience in our yoof we may have been treading a similar stage.

I wasn't going to comment on this thread, since those who know me will realise that this sort of topic is like a red rag to a bull to me. However, I just want to endorse and congratulate DG on taking the time to put together what I would have said less eloquently :)

My starting point would not be the social ills and breakdowns described since they might take a couple of generations to fix. I would start with my old favourite Zero Tolerance to all those who break the law in however minor a fashion from litter dropping and spitting all the way through to violent crime. Maximum penalties including incarceration whenever permitted, hard labour where possible, uncomfortable but adequate prison accomodation, including ships and tented camps if necessary. After that then start on the benefits society and all the social malaises

At age of twelve all boys should have vasectomy which would be reversed when they get married.

Any girl under 16 who gets pregnant get sterilised after the child is born. There is no child benefit for the first child (like the old days) and she doesn't get a free loaders home. HER parents who are responsible for her, are made to keep her. If there is NO bread winner in that house then they are sent out to pick up litter etc from the streets to earn their support which will be reduced to nothing if they don't do the work.

As I said in another thread I have reached the point now where I am so peed off that I am giving up work early to stop paying 1/5 of my earnings into a government where 60% of it is given away to the wasters of the British society.

Currently in Worthing Montegue street there is a cash machine. Under that machine sits a lay about with a dodog. If you want money out of the machine you have to reach over HIM. Then he has the cheek to ask for a handout as you got money mate I've just seen it. the police won't move him ON as he has rights, well so do I.

Send all illegals HOME buger whether they are in danger or not, we only have their word for it.

The NHS should only be for bonafide NI payers and their immediate family.

Yes tigger but to many out there is their way of life. To get the £20000 they have a pin money in your hand you have to earn £45000. It's no joke when you see them in the pubs drinking it all and then pissing it down the drain.

what about old people who have worked hard all thier lives but have got old, and have no big fat company pension, so live on state pension with pension credits, housing rebates, council tax help, and block up nhs waiting lists with complaints of worn out bits , do we view these people the same,as they knew they would get old, + they didnt budget for it or join bupa, just a thought.

I suppose I am in that last group then, worked since 16.5 years and still am. Pay my tacxes, pay my NI every month.

My so called big fat company schemes have been destroyed by the New Labour party which has robbed and pillaged them leaving them in such a state that they were wound up. Yes I've paid into NHS still do, yes I am a member of BUPA, company pays but I then have to pay 40% tax on the premium as it's a perk, this year I have to pay £960 tax for BUPA.

Ok I get a bus pass (can't use to come to work though) and free prescriptions, and a winter fuel allowence.

Over the years the planning has been destroyed by various outside inflences.

Endowment policy, had three they ended up paying out 1/3 of what was promised NO COMEBACK.

Bought houses to rent out to protect my pension and provide somewhere for those who don't want to or can't afford to buy. What happen the credit crunch, the values go down and I am not talking houses worth millions but reasonablly priced homes.

Currently you have to pay in 44 years of NI to qualify for full state pension, but in 2010 they are reducing that to 39 year. Guess what I am 65 in 2010 so again stuffed.

So sorry I don't think we should be included as spongers and remember you will be old one day, unless the government bring in euthanasia along with the increase in working life period.

Due to become a fully qualified 'wrinkly' in 3 months. Left school at 15 and the 'Stamp' (N.I) we paid was to cover us for our pension in old age, sick pay, free prescriptions, glasses and teeth. That was the plan and no offers from companies to pay into a Pension Fund or Private Pension Funds.

Back in the seventies I was able to pay into a Railway Pension Fund. When I left it said it would pay 2/3rds salary... Some chance, I've just been told it will be £16 per year. Later I took out a Private Pension and guess what? Yep, nowhere near what was predicted, even though I increased the premiums to keep pace with inflation.

The State Pension is higher than Pension Credit so no housing benefits for those of us which have bought their own house. No Council Tax Rebates because I'm not on Pension Credit.

Just to add insult to injury, I will have to pay tax on my pensions.

block up nhs waiting lists with complaints of worn out bits
Not much chance of that happening with the 'yoof' of today, the only parts worn out will be their sex organs and fat arses.

All the above comments are great and to the point. But those countries who don't subsidise Spam pregs DO get results.

Anyway, accidents do happen, but what i can't understand is why so many nowadays, considering the many forms of contraception, morning after pill, and as a last resort a termination.

If we continue to raise a generation of bastards, this could lead to inbreeding and medical help from siblings being lost.

The benefit system is a complete joke. Many of these kids will get more from the state than by working.

I must put my hands up here. Being involved in a serious accident some years ago I had to claim benefits. For the first 15 weeks, the amount was so low that i couldn't pay the mortgage nevermind live.

I had been in a low paid job (many of these in Scotland), and as the full extent of my injuries became known, i was advised to claim all benefits available (legally). The net amount of household income far exceeded my take home wage from employment. Also, there were no expenses in travelling to work, overalls and extra meals etc etc.

As far as housing is concerned, this is also a joke in our area. One of our counlillors had a son about to be married. He applied for a council house, only to be told there was a massive waiting list. Every flat that became available was given to ner dae wells, paying no rent. The councillors son was in full employment and could pay full rent.

In my young day, a girls ambition was a wardrobe of fancy clothes, makeup and holidays. This generation of girls ambition is to sport a bastard and a state of the art mobile phone.

Now, who mentioned Parenting, or is this word forbidden?

It's noticable that the production of all these barstewards has increased since sex education was introduced. The mystery and condemnation used to keep it under control.

I feel that soon we will be behaving like the deer population. That is the stags separate from the hinds and the prime stag producing most of the offspring.

Could this be the desired result of the government sponsered break up of 'normal' families. Think of the side effects for the following generations, many more disabled children methinks.

A woman walks into the benefits office, trailed by 15 kids...

'WOW,' the social worker exclaims, 'Are they ALL yours?

'Yeah they are all mine,' the flustered mother sighs, having heard that question a thousand times before. She says, 'Sit down Terry.' All the children rush to find seats.

'Well,' says the social worker, 'then you must be here to sign up. I'll need all your children's names.'

'This one's my oldest - he is Terry.'

'OK, and who's next?'

'Well, this one he is Terry, also.'

The social worker raises an eyebrow but continues. One by one, through the oldest four, all boys, all named Terry. Then she is introduced to the eldest girl, named Terri. 'All right,' says the caseworker. 'I'm seeing a pattern here. Are they ALL named Terri?'

Their Mother replied, 'Well, yes-it makes it easier. When it is time to get them out of bed and ready for school, I yell, 'Terry!' An'

When it's time for dinner, I just yell 'Terry!' an' they all come

Runnin.' An' if I need to stop the kid who's running into the street, I just yell 'Terry' and all of them stop. It's the smartest idea I ever had, namin' them all Terry.'

The social worker thinks this over for a bit, then wrinkles her forehead and says tentatively, 'But what if you just want ONE kid to come, and not the whole bunch?'

'I call them by their surnames!'

HE HE HE HE

Scary thing is that is now getting more like the truth :(

Me & SWMBO sat the other night & realised that in just 3 families that we know of between them there are a staggering 18 children :o :o

Mother A = 7 kids

Mother B = 6 kids

Mother C = 5 kids

What makes it worse is that 13 of them kids(by mothers A + B) have got half brothers & sisters to the other one. :o

Christ how long before there is to be so many children looking like the ones out of horror movies like Wrong Turn etc.... :(

Oh well time for me to go now..

Bye
