Have got the car in for its service at Nationwide Autocentres and they have reported I need some extra work done.

Brake Discs & Pads replacement

Rear Wheel cylinder replacement

brake fluid change

Price quoted is £300 (originally £325)

Does this seem a reasonable price?

Cheers.

I think its what you can reasonably expect to pay.......as for a reasonable price, depends on quality of parts.

Sounds about right, had the same work done over two different visits and it worked out about the same.

That was from a Authorised Citroen Repair Centre.

I know the last post here was 2007 but thought Id add this....

Had mine done for £105 including parts at my local garage, Mintex pads and discs can be bought from Ebay for around £43 and Brembo for around £50. Just make sure you buy the correct diameter for your car if you do buy them yourself. I let the garage order them incase I got it wrong.

Id originally gone in for a service which he quoted £85 inc fuel filter as I had already bought the other filters (oil, air, pollen)

Id also said Id noticed a knock going over speed bumps which he found to be the drop links worn. So all in all, £240 for everything done.

Id say that was about the cheapest garage Ive ever been to.

Bloody hell this VAT carry on fair hikes the price of a service up.

Put car in for 12,000 service, mot and brake overhaul(new discs & pads on front-clean and grease on rear). Bill came to £279.77 +£45.16 VAT.

NO FAGS THIS WEEK--sob sob.

NO FAGS THIS WEEK - just think how much healthier you'll be, how much less everything will smell, how much more people will like you!  LOL

Not at all unfortunately Lance. It would take more than stopping the fags to make people like me---just ask Arnold Clark. LOL
