Tetsu0san Posted January 3, 2011 Posted January 3, 2011 I would say that isn't a bad price. I do all my servicing myself but when things get beyond something I can do on my driveway I enlist the help of a mate who runs his own garage. I know he would charge about £120 + parts for a service and I know he is cheap compared to most so I would not think your place is expensive. One thing though, what is the major service going to comprise of? What mileage has your car done? Quote
Guest Fmxvxx Posted November 5, 2011 Posted November 5, 2011 I wouldn't pay to much notice to the good garage scheme I've worked in a garage that's part of the scheme and they got a fair few call backs while i was there for bodged work obviously your garage is most likely fine but don't delude yourself in thinking the scheme means anything. blondchaser Posted January 22, 2012 Posted January 22, 2012 What would a citroen agent charge for a 12,500ml. service? Quote
blondchaser Posted January 26, 2012 Posted January 26, 2012 Managed to negotiate it down from £230 to £189.60 but what a rip off. This is almost a NO SKILL operation as only the oil and filter (and pollen filter?)are changed. The service spanner in the dash was also put out. Nearly all other items were check or inspect---no spanners required. Time taken is 1.5hrs---for an anual service.I have raised the question about antifreeze both here and in three citroen dealers---apart from peoples individual ideas the "Official" line is that antifreeze is checked at service and if under strength is topped up---no mention of replacing it to keep the corrosion inhibitor at full strength??????My late father (a MOTOR ENGINEER) would turn in his grave if he saw this excuse for servicing.2012car service= a lick and a promise!!!!.What really gets me is that buyers are prepared to pay a fair bit extra for a full service history, especially where these services are carried out by a main dealer.
