For some reason my account and other posts have been deleted?

Anyway, new problems now. The new head unit doesn't turn off when you turn off the ignition and remove the key, it only powers down when the car goes into sleep mode after a couple of minutes. Then when you start the car it takes approx. 5 minutes (haven't timed this but can if its important?) before the head unit turns on? I'm sure i can hear a relay or something click just before it comes on, from near the battery under the passenger seat?

I'll be able to check connections tomorrow with a mulitmeter but also considering just taking a feed from the cigarette lighters?

Any ideas what's causing this? Thanks

just before the site was reverted to old style I posted a reply to you about the new head.

Citroen power to the radio is for some reason reversed to that of other makers. The head receives two power inputs. One is switched by the ignition the other is permanent and powers the radios memory. Did you buy an interface lead for the head and din connector? If not then you will need to change over the two power leads. Search the ICE section for this is it's covered.

I believed you requested the towbar info. Well now we are on the old site it is here at http://www.citroenpicasso.org.uk/picasso/index.php/topic/8846-faqs/page-3scroll down to #54

What's causing it, in general, is French Electrickery, which should never be messed with!  What's causing it, specifically, I'm afraid I've no idea...all seems very odd to me;  but that's the French for you!

Thank you. Yes, i bought all the adaptor leads required to do the head unit, steering controls all work. I'll be able to check everything tomorrow, see what is getting power and when. I might just have to take the feed from the cigarette lighter.

Nope, didn't ask about towbar but there are some interesting things in that thread that might be useful one day.

Well, all sorted!! I disconnected the aerial amplifier adaptor. I was told by the company that i got everything from that i should connect the power lead on that adaptor to the spare "System Remote Control" lead that comes from the Pioneer leads. Everything seems to be working properly now, didn't for the first journey but every time now it powers off with the ignition and starts up with it. The FM reception is pretty poor on some of my commute so will have to consider how to connect it back up.
