Hi,

I got C5 2.0 HDI (110) SX.

Since few day the left side of climate control will blow only hot air...lately temperatures out side reached 30 so not being able to use Climate control is a real pain....

Any one having similar problems?

Any solutions?

I just read your text. I have had a similar problem and found that if you turn the temp control to max. and the fan speed to min. and the air direction to all the positions and turn the air con off and then back on again to auto, the system resets and the temp may be contrlolled again. Hope this works for you.

I remember being in the Citroen Dealer back last year and this guy came in with a C5 SX and he was telling me his Climate Control was only blowing hot air on the passengers side and as the warranty had run out I am sure the part cost him £90.

you will need a mod kit fitting to whichever side is at fault. the gear teeth that turns the temp flap will have broken off and the steppa motor will be slipping.

How do I get to the motor??

I guess a Citroen specialist would be the first port of call, followed by the main dealer (OR a scrappers if your wanting to spend less and do more yourself).

My C5 has the same issue with the climate control, but I can hear the motor on the passenger side just stutter a bit, which sounds like it could be stuck. The speedo had also failed, but moving the needle up to the 30 mark then back down to 0 fixed it, hopefully a similar thing may fix the motor in the climate control.
