Thanks everyone for replying. it was the surprise of the oil warning message coming on after 2000miles of buying it. I just never thought of checking that early of buying , but if you all generally saying its normal then fair enough.

I thought it was strange. But no again! - I've already had it in the garage for electrical problems. How would they identify its burning oil?

My vts is burning oil after 2000 miles of owning it. I bought it used with 18000miles on the clock. I had to top it up with 1 litre of oil. :D Is this a common issue with the C4 vts burning oil?
