Hello All, I recently swapped my standard head unit for an Alpine one. I seem to be unable to run it properly through the ignition curcuit and as a result I can either have it on constant power (which cost me a new battery) or on what i assume is the ignition, but this has no memory feed and results in the head unit re-setting and losing all the presets and settings everytime i switch off. As you can imagine this a pain in the hole. Any one have any ideas? Paul

asfy85, I've simular probs with my vtr. a change of battery sorted it in my case, it turned out that the alpine stereo i fitted was taking a constant feed from the batt. for some reason the vtr needs a massive charge to kick the engine and if the battery is anything less 100% juiced up then it wont start. Also, if you have the sensodrive gearbox you may need to re-set it by pressing the brake pedal for 30/40seconds while the key is turned to the II position, then start it.
