The factory fit towbar wiring appears to go into a connector behind the vertical carpet, in the area where the roof stows, in the corner closest to the rear left indicator.

Ours has what looks like a factory fit detacheable towbar, so I'll have a poke around and see if I can follow the wiring back. On this subject, the towbar was detached when we got the car, and I can't figure out how to get it to lock back in place!

Well, Libby has had the clutch replaced under warranty (leaking crankshaft oil seal). It would have been sorted sooner, but as it's a sensodrive, the local dealer assumed the problem was down to a faulty driver :D

Is that just their opening offer or the final deal? You could at the very least ask for an extended warranty, etc to be thrown in (something like warranty direct would cost about £200 for a year, and you wouldn't have to go back to that service centre). Going legal could take a very, very long time and all the while you'll have a car you're not happy with. It wouldn't hurt to take advice though. Best of luck
